Trying to find some gadets & gizmos

Advice

So since I've still got awhile before I can play PFS, I figure I'll pass the time by making characters. But I would like to try and find a few items to help out with that.

Are Great Crossbows in the game at all? Might they be in the upcoming Equipment guide?

What about the quickloading enchantment for crossbows?

Wand chambers for weapons? (unlikely, but hey, I want a spell-shooting crossbow)

Also, with the size-increasing rules for weapons, am I prevented from simply using a Large Heavy Crossbow?

Trying to answer the ones I can:

Not in the game now (only hand, repeating, light and heavy) but would not know for Ultimate Equipment.

There is a Feat (Rapid Reload) that allows you to reload crossbows faster. There is also a spell called Reloading Hands in UC

There is a spell called Weaponwand that does something like what you want I think. It's in Inner Sea Magic.

First of all, when you increase a size, it increases the number of hands needed to wield it. So a Longsword (1-handed) made large needs 2 hands to wield AND you take a -2 penalty to attack rolls for using an inappropriately sized weapon. You cannot go past 2-hands. (so a Large Greataxe (2-handed when medium) cannot be wielded at all by a medium creature.)

For bows, you can use the spell Gravity Bow (which increases the damage dice of a bow by one step similar to what you want to accomplish)

Side note, seems you are trying to go heavy on crossbows. Word of advice, they are greatly underpowered to bows in Pathfinder. (dunno if they were better in 3.0 and 3.5, I didnt play those systems that long.)

Heya...I wanted to make a quick comment also that in Pathfinder Society, if you are using any resources outside of the core assumption (Core, Field Guide, Bestiary) then you must have a copy of that resource. It doesn't matter if you have a print copy, a pdf, a photocopy, whatever...but it can't be from the PRD. This is because GMs are not expected to know every ability for everything ever published...and if a GM asks you where something is from, you must be able to provide it. I just wanted to give you a heads up before you went hog wild with additional resources :-)

Carlos basically answered all the questions :-)

Thanks for the info. Are there any 'bomb launchers' for alchemists? For some reason I see Heavy Bow-Gun users when I think of my Alchemist. XD

There is indeed, but it was just recently added in the Advanced Race Guide in the Goblin equipment section, which is sadly not legal for PFS play.

Shadow Lodge

No bomb launchers legal, but splash weapon launchers are legal. There's one in the Adventurer's Armory, and one in Gnomes of Golarion. They're slightly different, but both toss flasks.

One more feat for crossbows you might want to look at is Crossbow Mastery, which is, IIRC, from the APG.

And, I think, there is an archetype, Crossbowman, which has some crossbow-related abilities. At a cost. It appears to be a Fighter archetype, and it, also, comes from the APG, IIRC.

You forgot one crossbow, the double crossbow from the APG, p. 177.

HAH, this is perfect. It's exactly what I was looking for, and at 18lbs I can see a Launching Crossbow as a 'Heavy Bowgun'.

Thanks mate, cheers.

The magically reloading great crossbow is in the core book. It's martial and they mislabelled it composite longbow. There are so many feats needed to make crossbows worth it. Just reflavour a long bow. The strength in the composite "cross bow" represents the difficulty in cocking the bow.
