And with four days to go, Paizo just posted about the Kickstarter in the Store Blog!
| Jeremy Smith Dreamscarred Press |
So far, we've picked up about 20 additional backers thanks to the Paizo blog post, and yes, we have broken the $36,000 stretch goal.
We are just under $2,100 away from our $40,000 stretch goal which would mean we produce the Seventh Path supplement. We still have over three days left in the project, so it'll be tight, but the final 48 hours tend to pick up thanks to Kickstarter sending out notices to folks about the pending completion.
This has been a truly amazing project that has far exceeded even our wildest expectations and we're already having fun working on all the material needed for the book.
I'll be posting an update today that includes the information about the stretch goals, as well as letting everybody see the Forgeborn art.

So is Wayne Reynolds doing the cover art for Ultimate Psionics? The Store Blog posts have me confused...
I'll probably only be able to afford the PDF backer tier - getting print items shipped to Oz bumps it up from $30 for PDFs to $70 ($50+$20 shipping) for Print.
I absolutely love what you have done with Psionics for Pathfinder Jeremy (and all at Dreamscarred), and I think your kickstarter is a testament to its popularity...
Well done!

Hey, Jeremy, any chance you could credit 20 from someone else's pledge to Oceanshieldwolf? Hate to ssee mis out on an awesome print product because of shipping. (Assuming he can otherwise handle the print reward tier.) Yes, I will be upping my pledge by 20 if you can.
Absolutely.

Wow MaverickWolf.... An obscenely lovely gesture!* I am touched. Would that I could reciprocate this gesture in the future for somebody in need of beautiful game products...
And that my friends is just one of the reasons why this community rocks!
*[But I'm not sure kickstarter will let you do that...]
[EDIT: oh... Ninja'ed. Wow again. Thank you MaverickWolf!!!! - Jeremy, what do I need to do (apart from pledge my $50?)]

Here's the thing - I can add notes to different backers, and we'll be doing a post-project survey to get all the necessary information (add-in selection, quantities, shipping information, etc.)
Kickstarter only tells me who pledged what and who selected which rewards. Beyond that, we can tweak as needed - it's how I've managed to allow a couple folks to select multiple limited rewards.

Ninja'd again. Stop that! You reading my mind! Oh I get it - you ARE the psionics guys....
That's just how we roll.
Ok, pledged at the $50 tier... Thanks again MaverickWolf...
If you don't mind, send me a message either here or on Kickstarter with your name so I can appropriately mark your pledge. :)

You know, now that the B&W Psionic Bestiary is part of the $100 reward level, is it possible to add a new tier:
$110 - As the $100 level except you get a color copy of the Psionic Bestiary.
Or, if you can't do that, could you add "Upgrade B&W to Color" options to bump a B&W copy to color?
If you can't do either, I understand. :)

Alexander - contentwise, the final Ultimate Psioncis book (b/w) will be the one that might show up in the Comic Shop. We are exploring if we can sell the color one via specific vendors, but we're not sure yet. We KNOW you'll be able to buy it directly via us at our website.
Finally, the Limited Edition comes with an integrated Bestiary, is signed and will NOT be available outside the Kickstarter. It's a one-time, limited, only for these backers, book.
So it depends really.
Some of the material, like more monsters, will show up in the Bestiary we release, or Seventh Path, which will gets its own release.

So here's a question. There's tons of goodies in it for the backers who purchase the book. What (if any) of them will be in the final copy of the book that I, say, order from Paizo.com or perhaps find in my local comic book shop?
Great question.
The answer is, things beyond the book itself will not be part of the book you get in stores. Backing a Kickstarter means you're putting in early, knowing there's a risk of delays, so with that comes greater reward.
We will probably include the PCGen and Hero Lab files for the PDF you get anywhere (including here at Paizo), as well as potentially the character sheets, but if you're buying the book at a book store? You get only the book. Anything else would be extra / separate.

And if you're buying outside the Kickstarter, you're getting a B&W copy, not a color copy, correct?
We will have color copies available (and potentially available in stores, or at least at Paizo, Amazon, and DriveThruRPG), just not the limited edition. If you're buying in a gaming store, it's likely to be the B&W copy only.
