Did an all orc campaign ages ago in an old D&D (not even AD&D) campaign.

We were so busy being orcs I don't think we really got anything done, and the internal politics were insane. That party had some really good role players, and our actual stats rarely even came into play

I thought of this thread when I ran across this pic again. For an all dwarf campaign, I'd love to play this guy.

Adrian Smith Art on CGHub.

Silver Crusade

I also vote All Dwarf. I think the Darklands as a setting is a great idea, and with Dwarves, you have a race tailor made for such a trek. It will also be interesting to incorporate a party that needs no light source whatsoever.

Halflings? Meh. However I loved that AP outline from earlier in the thread. I'd play that!

Gnomes. Ugh. I never liked Gnomes in 3.5. I never got them. I mean we already had Dwarves and Halflings. Gnomes were... boring. Paradoxically, the only time people ever played Gnomes was because Kenders didn't exist. People played Gnomes so they could be all wacky and, well, annoying. Pathfinder has improved the situation a lot, and I think more can be done to play up their Fey background, but still... annoying.

Elves? I like Elves. I do agree that they don't need an AP dedicated to them. (Again? I haven't read Second Darkness.) I think there's still some more work to be done on them to make them more... interesting. For me at least.

Half-Orcs and Half-Elves? Perhaps. I'm more interested in the Half-Orcs as a focus. Half-Elves don't have it nearly so bad as Half-Orcs, and I think there's a lot more grist there for some interesting plotting.

Goblins. Yes, Goblins. They are a fan-favorite. And I have considered this. I think it could be a whole lot of fun. But why not also include Hobgoblins, Bugbears, Orcs and Half-Orcs?

Other AP-related musings. How about a Planar campaign? Darklands, definitely. Under the Sea? New World? i.e. a new continent to the West?

Liberty's Edge

I would think the way to do this was to have a 'preferred' race.. design the AP for all the players to be whatever race but make allowances for them to be any other race.. much like you do with normal APs... only assume that all the characters are ______ (fill in your specific non-human race here) and then explain how people would react to other racial types and treat all non-______s as the 'odd' race.

Did a quick skim, not sure if it was mentioned...

Throne of Night, from Fire Mountain Games, sounds like what the OP is looking for.
