PRD: If a wizard attempts to cast a spell without his bonded object worn or in hand, he must make a concentration check or lose the spell.
Questions: This applies to all spells a wizard will try to cast? Doesn’t it kind of cripple the wizard?
PRD: A familiar grants special abilities to its master, as given on the table below. These special abilities apply only when the master and
familiar are within 1 mile of each other.
Questions: So I have to risk my familiar on dungeons by having it near to me in order to get its help?

Question 1:
Yes this absolutely cripples the wizard if he loses his bonded object, hence why most people think that familiars are better, atleast if you have a GM that might try to take your bonded object away. But in short, dont lose your bonded object.
Question 2:
Well you have to risk it in the same way that you risk your party members for it to help you, but if you are afraid it will die you could always just leave it with the horses, camp or whatever, but ofc that will also mean no benifit. Do remember that the penalty for losing a familiar is rather tiny, and you dont get crippled in the same way as for the bonded object.

Arcane bond has a few advantages though. For example, cast one a day from anything in your spell books. Seems small, but once you've gathered a hundred spells you'd be shocked how handy this is.
Free crafting feats for modifying the bonded item. Kinda nice if you make your bonded item a staff (or change it to it).
You are pretty gimped without it, though, but not completely emasculated. After a short bit you'll get really good at concentrating. And the situations where you don't have your bonded item tend to be few and far between. Honestly, you're more likely to get messed up by not selected eschew materials as a feat than not having the item.

There is any feat that could help me with my concentration in case the bonded object is lost?
Or there is anyway (spell) to make it invisible in the case that I am taken to a prison and I don't want the guards to know that I have it?
Well... don't go to jail, or at least don't get caught.

Yes, there's a huge advantage to making your brain external and carrying it around in your hands where anyone can casually destroy it. Totally worth it. (/sarc)
You'd be amazed how many would do this with their soul! *cough* Lich *cough*
Speaking of, could a lich make their phylactery their bonded item?
