Armored kilt and hide armor

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

My character has acquired some wealth and reputation is able to get a set of custom armor crafted him. I was thinking of getting a darkleaf hide shirt with a linnorm (dragon hide) armored kilt made for him. What do you think of legality of this and what would the stats be? My gm is also at a loss because of the armored kilt.

This is what I am theorizing so far :

Darkleaf hide shirt & linnorm hide kilt:
Ac +5 Max dex +6 Armor check 0 Type medium Immunity to energy type because of the dragon/linnorm hide.

But if this doesn't work. What do you guys think I should make for a two weapon warrior dex fighter.

Also to note. We can get dragon hide crafted into almost any armor that can be made of metal.

Ignoring many of your other questions.... A dragonhide armor set only grants immunity if the whole set is made out of the same type of energy immunity dragonhide. Therefore, the darkleaf hide would make your dragonhide part useless.

just fyi dragon hide does not give you immunity to any energy type, but then again i may be missing some source for a different type.

so with that being said i would go with a mithril agile brest plate and a armored kilt. i dont think you can get better without going to a heavy plate set like full plate.

"If the dragonhide comes from a dragon that had immunity to an energy type, the armor is also immune to that energy type, although this does not confer any protection to the wearer"

The armor has the immunity and the wearer doesn't gain the immunity? If that's the case why even get dragon hide armor besides if you are a Druid?

Yes, dragon hide lets druids wear better armor. It also gives a 25% price reduction on energy resistance enhancements for the same energy type as the dragon's immunity.
In the piecemeal variant armor rules, A suit of complete dragonhide (so all three pieces are made only of dragonhide) grants energy immunity to the wearer if all three pieces have the same immunity.

Adamantine armor grants DR. It is possible an adamantine armored kilt would grant Dr 1/-, if your DM allows a kilt to be made of adamantine.

Also, dragonhide isn't metal so it is immune to any effects which target metal. ie. heat metal, chill metal, rusting grasp, repel stone or metal. You get the idea.
