Looking for a little advice I've build a character for pathfinder society.I've based him on Don Draper from Mad Men.Take a look let me know what you guys think:He's a halfing Bard, silver crusade, and thinking NG or CG. he's def. going to be the talking in the group.

Stats:Str-8 Dex-16 Con-10 Int-14 Wis-10 Cha-18

traits-child of the temple and mathematical prodigy

perform-oratory

he'll be using a whip;)

feat-weapon finesse
that's all I have so far.any advice would be welcomed:)

Uh...I don't think there are traits for Divorced Philanderer. Maybe give him a pair of Randolph Engineering sunglasses? There's not really a whole lot of mechanical interpretation to be done; he's...not a fantasy character.

The Exchange

Halfling? He's 6 foot something.

Dark Archive

yeah....going change that back to human

Dark Archive

I know he's not a fantasy character but i like to take guys like this and see what they might be like if they were luck enough to be born into a cooler world:P

He philandered plenty before the divorce...

In (somewhat) serious answer to the OP: Given all the drinking and what happened in the episode where those beatniks tried to slip him a mickey, I'd go for some sort of save vs poison bonus. Obviously, high charisma; I suppose it's an open question as to whether Don has no ranks in Diplomacy or just prefers to use Bluff in every social encounter ever, but yeah, high social skills. As for his alignment... I don't know what show you've been watching, but Don is about as far from chaotic and good as a character can get. I know Jon Hamm looks good in a suit, but don't fall for it, Don is pretty well the poster child for lawful evil.

Not CN Qadra? Don is nothing if not a self-interested uber-capitalist. He should always have liquour in his pack, and tobacco. Save up for a squire vanity nd sleep with her.

Feats: Persuasive, Antagonize. You might look into the human feats from the ARG, especially Fearless Curiousity and Intimidating Confidence.

Well yeah, it's kind of hard to philander as a single man ;)

Maybe some ranks in fighter. He was, after all, in the army. Also, he's got a pretty shady childhood. High Constitution, the man drinks like a fish. Profession (salesman) might be good.

Liberty's Edge

Wait...you're not going to build him as a tiefling?

Dark Archive

I have a boon i could do tiefling but thought that might be bad b/c of the hit to CHA...figure he needs a decent CHA.

o and i did put him down for profession salesman for my day job already just forgot to include it in the beginning:)
ranks in fight also a good idea maybe just a few you never get to really see if he was a really good solider since he ditched.

And as for the alignment I can see lawful in some way he does follow his own set of personal laws. but I don't see him and evil(he does bad things but he's also doing things that would counter act them as in taking care of the wife of the man who identity he stole). maybe LN or CN because some things he does especially when drunk I can't always see any reason for.

I was thinking a bigger focus in Diplomacy I think he doesn't always straight lie, He's more of a it's all in how you sell it kind of man. I'll tell you the truth even if you don't like and make it sound amazing so that you'll change your mind.

Faction- thinking about Taldor maybe qadira but leaning more taldor

I'd go with a skill based, high int, high cha rogue over a bard.

There's probably even an archetype for it.

Why not Chelish? I think many Pathfinders presume that Andoran is the American analogy in Golarion - but they're wrong, it's Cheliax. ;}

NOTE: I know. I know that Arcadia is ACTUALLY the American equivalent in Golarion. I KNOW that Andoran ACTUALLY had a revolution. I know. I KNOW!

:} - This means I'm joking.

I would go for a higher wisdom. Don gets people, except perhaps himself. Alignment would be LN or LE.

Meh...Absalom makes at least as much sense as Andoran. Since it's basically Jerusalem/New York City.

Dark Archive

I am a HUGE fan of playing chelish!
LN is prob my best bet b/c i still don't think he's bad enough to actually be considered Evil.
