Looking to wrangle the schedule for this coming weekend! I will be finishing up a module started on New Year's for some of our players in the area (including some of my awesome GM's), so I will be in need of some volunteers to run tables!

Saturday, January 10th @ 10:00AM EST at the Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: Tears at Bitter Manor, Part 2: The Tristeza House (Tier 6-8)
GM: Irish202

Table 2: Shades of Ice Part 1 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 3: The Wounded Wisp (New Tier 1-2 Replayable)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

3/5

Sign me up to play Shades of Ice with my alchemist. I've wanted to play through that one with him or else I would volunteer to run.

Grand Lodge 2/5

I can DM The Wounded Wisp on Saturday if you still need one

So, I've semi-recently moved back to the area and am looking into RPGs and stuff around here. Found this and was wondering if I could join you guise (and, if so, do I just show up? Or what?). I've played PFS once before, a while ago, and have a decent amount of DnD 3.5 knowledge.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Feel free to stop by! The PFS sessions at the Griffon are open tables and we're always looking for new players. Our next session will be Saturday January 24th @ 10AM, schedule to be determined.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Wrangling the scenario schedule for this weekend's PFS!

Saturday, January 24th @ 10:00AM EST at The Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: The Emerald Spire, The Clockwork Maze (Tier 4-6)
GM: Irish202

Table 2: Shades of Ice Part 2 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 3: Quest for Perfection Part 1 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Please let me know if you are able to run a table! Thanks!

3/5

Since I played in Shades of Ice Part 1 last session, I'll calling a player seat in part 2.

Does the Emerald Spire have to be played in order, or can you catch up later? Somehow I missed the one before this week's. If not I suppose I'd need to try Shades of Ice II.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Hello everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your week so far.

It has come to my attention that there has been an update to the Society campaign on the Paizo blog today. For reference, I will link it here.

I would like to hear people's opinion on addressing this change for PFS in our area. What are your thoughts?

3/5

I don't believe we have enough veterans who show up regularly for which it would be a benefit to set up Core tables. I've played at the Griffon since we've started and supplement that with online play and I still haven't played at least half the scenarios out there.

On the other hand, if we know we're going to have an influx of new people, then it might be good to set up a low level Core table.

In general, I think it's best to stick to the non-core campaign, although polling people on site would be the best since many don't check the paizo boards very often.

Scarab Sages

I would play either. I can see the value of the Core campaign for those who don't want the infomation crush of having to own all the books. And we might find a few more willing GMs that would only need the CRB and Bestiary.

3/5

Just a note, from what I understand GMs would still need to be able to access all the resources used in the scenario, only the PCs would be limited to the Core rules.

This is just me but I would be more inclined to play the Core campaign over the non-Core. I enjoy the lighter games with less rules and I think it would be fun at least to have maybe one table play the Core.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

I am still on the fence about running both at the Griffon, only from the viewpoint of organizing the sessions; it would be a headache of sorts for me to keep track off both sides of the campaign, as well as the number of GM's I have available. For now, I will put off scheduling a core table until next time when I can discuss the issue with you all more in depth.

In regards to this coming weekend's PFS, I will not be available to assist with running tables as I will be attending the Marmalade Dog convention up in Kalamazoo that weekend. I would be happy to throw out a suggested schedule (below), though I will need some GM's to step up to cover the tables.

Saturday, February 7th @ 10AM EST at the Griffon Bookstore:

Table 1: Shades of Ice Part 3 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 2: Quest for Perfection Part 2 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 3: Storming the Diamond Gate (Tier 3-7)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

Scarab Sages

What senarios are being playing in Kalamazoo? I didnt see any pathfinder listed.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

The listing are under "Special Track," not under RPG events oddly enough.

Or I can post the link here.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

I can go ahead and continue with the scenario path and run the Quest for Perfection Part 2.

3/5

Do we have someone to GM either Shades of Ice Part 3 or Storming the Diamond Gate? Since Quest for Perfection is best played in order, I'd like to know if there are going to alternatives since I haven't played QfP 1. I would volunteer, but unfortunately I'm going to be too busy in the next couple of days to prepare adequately.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Hello again! This time I can actually be present to run something, so here is the proposed scenario schedule for this coming weekend!

GM: Volunteer Needed!

Table 3: Before the Dawn Part 1 (Tier 1-7)
GM: Volunteer Needed!

5/5 Venture-Agent, Indiana—South Bend aka kerwin1970

We never ran Quest for Perfection Part 2. We didn't have enough bodies to have 3 tables. I will run it for this weekend.

Will anyone being playing at the Griffon this weekend?(4/18)

3/5

I asked Sean his thoughts on the matter, but he hasn't been able to get back to me yet. I spoke to William, though, and he's planning on running the second part of Plunder and Peril which looks to be for Tier 4-6. I'll bring #1-55 The Infernal Vault for Tier 1-7 for everyone else. Of course, if someone else wants to bring something prepared, that's good too.

I got a group of 3 people looking to join a Pathfinder game. We were late today (showed up around 11am) and rather than crash the established groups and split our party, we just decided to come back another time.

The 3 of us have been playing various pen & paper RPGs for years, but one of us is always DMing. We are hoping to get involved with the Society games at Griffon, but we really want to roll together for a change. We will be back in 4 weeks (October 3), if you would have us. We're not really picky about classes, and love trying new roles.

**check that... one of us refuses to play an elf. =P

I don't recall the name of the person I spoke with that was heading up the games, but would like to stay in touch.

Scarab Sages

His name is Sean. Welcome.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Here is the proposed scenario selection, barring any requests for something different. As always, volunteers to run tables are appreciated. With increased interest, I would love to have someone available on the back-up table for new players!

Saturday, September 19th @ 10AM EDT at The Griffon Bookstore:

Low Table: Scions of the Sky Key Part 3 (Tier 1-5)
GM: Volunteer needed!

High Table: The Sealed Gate (Tier 7-11. Bring your A-Game to this one!)

Grand Lodge 2/5

I can finish the sky key

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

Hello again!

A while ago I was toying around with the idea of making a Warhorn sign-up for PFS sessions at the Griffon, as it would make my life a lot easier wrangling tables and GM's. Makes it easier for me to determine tiers, and interest in scenarios. I would like for people to give a test run, and get opinions from people tomorrow. I still intend to give notice of scenarios here and on the Paizo page, of course. Let me know if there are questions about how to use the Warhorn.

Here is a link to the website.

Scarab Sages

Is there going to be a set day that Warhorn will be updated (IE tuesday or wednesday before) to show what's going to be played so people can sign up for GM and player slots?

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202

I will plan on posting the scenario schedules Sunday evenings at the beginning of the week before the session. I'll also post here (as well as on the Pathfinder of Michiana FB page) when I have updated the Warhorn.

Sczarni 5/5 Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Elkhart aka Irish202
