So we've got what was originally slated to be a 64-page book, but due to demand there's been what, four full levels added to Thornkeep?

I was really, really hoping this morph into a hardcover with a bigger pagecount rather than a 64-pager with all the meat edited out of it to make it fit in 64 pages.

Any chance at all of that happening?

Come on everyone, you all know you want a larger, cooler book :)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As much as Paizo (and FGG) is already stretching me thin with all of their awesome products, I would definitely still manage to pull together the extra cabbage to see this product grow to 96 or 128 pages, hard or soft cover.

I'd also love to see this become a hardcover due to the amazing amount of funding. I'm not a big fan of softcovers even though I already pledged enough for the physical copy. I love hardcovers.

Isn't it now up in the region of 96-page book?

64 = 32 Thornkeep + 32 PfO Design Notes

if Dungeons added are "magic number 16ps/dungeon/addition?" each that's now x4

64

Final page count for x1 dungeons: 80
Final page count for x2 dungeons: 96
Final page count for x3 dungeons: 112
Final page count for x4 dungeons: 128

---

Not sure if that is right? Is the 16 number correct? Thought I saw that mentioned? :0

The book will be a 96-page softcover—the same physical format as a Pathfinder AP volume.

So the additional dungeons are 8pgs each then. Any extra info on the PfO design notes?

Until we get manuscripts, page placement is subject to flex, so your 8-page assumption is not safe. Rich Baker has already written more than we asked for, so I would not be surprised if the PFO design notes section will need to run in fewer than 32 pages. (That doesn't necessarily mean it needs to have less content, though—there are tricks we can do during layout to get more words onto each page.)

Thanks for the answer. V excited for the design notes of PfO in particular & v happy with the tons of other Thornkeep materials also. Plenty of diagrams, graphs, and more always express ideas/complement words :)
