Oh, yes, one of the other things was denial of pension and other benefits for part time state employees. The thing is that there are a lot of jobs that are only 8 hours a week or something, and thus employees would fill 4-5 of these positions and be essentially full time employees, but have 5 different job codes. Thus they would be ineligible for benefits. Which is a crock of s%&#, and that provision essentially targeted forestry and park rangers.
That has been going on for decades, long before Act 10.

Denying them benefits? No it hasn't. Those employees have been there and received benefits (albeit much reduced) if they are half time or more in total between their positions. Act 10 changed that.

Don't get me started on Doyle though. I didn't vote for him and thought he was about as effective as a wet noodle. I blame him for Walker being elected in the first place.

I wonder if I know you then. I game at Misty Mountain 2 days a week and have done for more than 8 years. I was also, at one point, an employee.

Then we definitely ran into each other at some point, I'm sure (I gamed there not where it is now, but each of the two places before that)

No way. Unions would never allow the teacher to get fired no matter how good or bad they are... oh wait.. never mind :)

The right-wing talking points are getting old. At least try to say something relevant now and then.

Crazy. Yeah I hardcore miss the Stoughton road store. And Dave.

I'm trying to surmise what group you were part of, if you were part of a regular RP group lol. I think there are still 2 RP groups that have been playing there since the start.

We played on Wednesday and our GM (and group I suppose) was very boisterous and loud

Well that could be anyone.

We play Thursdays and have done since I think January of 2004. I never really worked wednesdays either, I was Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday. I did used to play LotR CCG on Wednesdays though, waaaaay back in 2002-2003 era. At the Monona store.

That wasn't a talking point, it was trolling, which I apologize for :)

(edit: apology to meatrace)

For campaign finance, I want to see a simple solution. If you are eligible to vote in a specific election, you are allowed to give any candidate in that election money.

I removed some posts. Play nice in the political threads.

I love how this off-topic thread managed to get more off-topic.

Round up of pro-union, anti-Democrat articles for those who are interested:

Labor Declares Victory in Face of Defeat

Facing Facts in Wisconsin: Progressives and Workers Were Sold Out by Obama and the Democratic Party

Once again, I can't endorse every opinion expressed in these articles, but I can endorse the Obama hate and that the union tops kind of suck.
