The (old) wiki shows a Golarion calendar with 12 30-day months. The new calendar in the Inner Sea World Guide shows a calendar that matches the modern calendar (aside from leap days every 8 years for some reason).
I just want to make sure that the Golarion calendar should mimic our own. I'm also curious why the change? Thanks!

Sorry about that EL. *grin*
I can see the change if they were to make it just like our calendar, but then why not make leap year every 4 years like ours? Personally, I rather liked the 12 30-day months. It made keeping track of the phases of the moon quite easy (every 15 days you have either a full moon or a new moon).
I guess they changed it sometime between when I downloaded someone's handmade calendar (from these boards) at the beginning of my last campaign in 2010 and now. It only recently came up when another DM began running Carrion Crown for our group and my character started keeping a Pathfinder Journal. Other than that it would have been a moot point. Thanks!

I changed to the new calendar but stuck with the (possibly unofficial, as far as I can remember) concept of having Golarion's moon have a 28-day cycle so that every phase (new, half, full, half) falls on a Moonday.
Though this does mean that the two dates I've encountered so far that allow one to align the lunar phase with the calendar are off by a few days...
