Looking for advice on Carrion Crown

As a DM I'm about to start a Carron Crown campaign, my players will be Paladin, Bard, Rogue, and Alchemist.

Is that group well balanced for the adventure? I mean, they don't have a full arcane caster nor a main healer.

I am half thru GMing CC currently. I think that group will do just fine. The AP drops some useful loot. Maybe tip them to use it instead of selling it for masterwork weapons....long story.


Our group is halfway through the first adventure with a similar party (paladin, cleric, sorcerer/rogue, alchemist) and we're doing very well. The alchemist's ability to add her Int bonus to holy water damage is especially useful.

Of course, a cleric would probably help your group, but I don't think it's essential.


Our GM has modified it, so I can't be sure it will apply to you.
But we found that a paladin could not keep up on removing all the ability drains, diseases, and poisons that all the undead dish out. And there wasn't enough loot or purchaseable items that would take care of it available. IF you allow the PC to purchase more or up the amount found as loot it would be ok.


I am playing through now with a cleric with the luck / travel (exploration) domains, and I'm satisfied. My goal is to make her a harrower at level 6, using the Harrow Deck, which very much fits the flavor of the story (Varisian background). I am making her a gypsy/dancer.


Thanks for the advice, I suppose that I will need to drop some extra restoration stuff in time to time in order to keep them alive without a cleric.


I think they will do ok - though a cleric is VERY helpful in CC. Perhaps do a little something extra to make sure temple services are accessible even in the chapters that take place in more remote sections of the world.


I'm actually about to start this as well, also with an odd party, and I figure if they're smart they should do ok. If not I figure the mad monk haunt the adventure provides fits the theme and could be used as a get out of death patch for a tpk.


I am about to run CC with a large group (seven!) with no cleric. So far selection is:
Wizard (necromancer)
Paladin
Ranger
Barbarian
Magus
Oracle (of Pharasma)
Probably a monk

No cleric anywhere, but that's not a problem...
