Best Android Apps

Technology

I just picked up a Google Nexus S last week and have been playing around with it. Now that I am getting the hang of it, I was wanting to get some good apps for it. So what good Android apps would you all suggest and why?

Grand Lodge

ezPDF reader is great, I use it on my phone and tablet. Beautiful Widgets is nice if you like customizing your display. I use Perfect Viewer for reading comics, although I'm not sure how easy that would be on a phone. Color Flashlight HD is handy for when you need a flashlight and all you have is your phone.

Doggcatcher for podcasts
Pocket to save web pages for later reading
Tweetdeck for tweets and facebook
Ski Report for the daily snow reports
Battery Charger to silence the beep when the phone is fulling charged (just a problem on my Samsung I think)
MapMyRide to map workouts biking & running
Yelp & Maps to know where to eat.

*Shameless plug* Might I suggest the Pathfinder Open Reference?

Cool. Needs a writable char sheet.

Nice work.

Thanks :)

I want this to be a collection of apps eventually. Android lets applications talk to one another, so I can bridge between applications and reference rules from this app in other apps.

Other apps I'm considering are:
1) A character sheet app.
2) A good initiative application, perhaps that can even network between phones/tablets.

A long time ago I was the lead programmer on PCGen, so another thought is using that as a library and making a tablet character creation app.

Where are you at with all that? :)

Dark Archive

I like the PF Open Reference a lot. I've had some luck incorporating cloud services into my app. (alternate shameless plug, "Pathfinder Assistant") My old version used to sync with a dedicated server but while this worked for live local sessions I still need to recreate a solution for disconnected systems (push notifications and such).

Combat Manager for PC/Android also has some good tools for GMing (initiative etc) that I highly recommend as well.

I like it for my Note 3 as well.
