I pledged at the $250 (well, $300 for the subscription) level for a PF print version - I'm assuming that, since the extras are PDF, I should have both PF and S&W versions of the Cyclopean Deeps and Bestiary, yeah?

No biggie, no rush, I'm just not seeing clearly that I *should* have it, and that's what I wanted to verify.

Hey Brian, I also pledged at the $300 level. While RA and the base files were available for download in both PFRP and SW, the Bestiary and Cyclopean Deeps 1 and 2 downloads were only available in whichever system you specified in the survey Frog God sent out(for me PFRP). They look great, looking forward to the printed material later this month.

Sooooo, for those of you who have downloaded the pdf, whatdyathink?

Rock on. Things got confusing with all the add-ons, and I wasn't sure at which level the "both versions of all add-on PDFs" kicked in.

Thanks! :)

Skeeter,
I've loved what I've read. Am going to be running with with 3 friends ona virtual table top- did level 1C on D20 Pro myself and will be doing the rest with your guys map and monster files. Have really enjoyed the hardcore old-school feel. Thanks for making it happen.

still reading thru it but it looks pretty awesome so far. can't wait to get my hands on all the swag so I can scare my current group with the sheer size of the book much less the great artwork :)

Scarab Sages

I've had a look through all the pdf's and love them.
I've not read them fully as I'm playing in a RA game run by a mate who also pledged on Kickstarter project. (To make sure there are surprises in-store for me!)

Started running it this past Sunday. It's awesome! The PCs have explored a good bit of country side around Their starting base of operations. Had several instances of negative hitpoints. One major tactical blunder on my part that was definitely an advantage to the 'good guys'. Can't wait for session two in two weeks. Hopefully I'll have the dead tree by then.

F~%&ing impressive; the page count really didn't sink in until I began tracing (and back-tracing) predictable paths - then I realized this was forty well spent. I've heard the hype for years, but the entertainment I got from dungeon design kept me from buying it. It's a classic dungeon crawl properly executed and sufficiently detailed.

I'm curious how a party of evil PCs will tackle this megadungeon.

paid the last printer invoice today--books should ship to me (the last of them) in about 2-3 weeks; now we just need those pesky dice. I saw the d20 Pro test maps this morning--mega impressive. They featured Clark's old paladin, Bannor:)

Thanks for the patience guys! Everything will ship (except the painted minis--those will take a few months) as soon as it gets here. I have arranged extra help so we can pack 100 or so boxes a night.

Awesome, bill thanks. Can't wait to hold my copy!
The PDF is impressive, but nothing compares to a real, high quality book. :)

Rappan Athuk, Rulebook - all I need to do now is persuade you to put out a leather edition of tome of horrors. :)

Any chance of a screen shot of the D20 Pro maps? Thanks!

The D20Pro maps look like they will be pretty cool. All the hard work done for me, now if I would only have the chance to run the beast.

Bill,

Thanks man! They look great! Really appreciate you guys posting the images. Can't wait to see the finished product. Bring it on!

New review up from Endzeitgeist. If for some reason some of you have been on the fence about this one, I suggest reading it.

They now have a week to properly list their characters and detail their demise. Failure to do so will result in my colorful account of that character's death.

Does anyone know if there is a list of creatures in Rappan Athuk from the Tome of Horrors? I wanted to copy out all the creatures from the Tome in one Rappan Athuk Beastiary as it were. Obviously I can go through myself and find them, but was wondering if the effort has already been made?

Thanks!

Quick question about the D20/hero lab stuff. Will all of the critters in the adventure be included? If so will they be placed on the maps so simply available in the D20 library? Thanks! Just trying to figure out necessary prep work I need to do with running this beautiful monster online!

I do not believe every single creature is included in the HL files, but I may be wrong. I'd rather say not all creatures are included, and have it be a great surprise than promise something and leave you disappointed.

Here's a place to start, Undeadlord. I've gleaned all of this from the Legal Appendix which doesn't really include the unique templated creatures from RA, but does include the templates that were used. (A good example of this would be the Phase Minotaur King).

I put it behind a spoiler to keep the post short. :)

Spoiler:

Any updates on the HeroLab encounter files and/or d20Pro map files? Near completion? Still a ways off? Don't hold your breath?

I was wondering the same thing, I am supposed to start a game the beginning of October and was really hoping to use d20 Pro for it. Though some of the early Wilderness encounters might not be too big of a deal to do with out the official files ...

I'm in the same boat Undeadlord. I'll be running some of the Zelkor's Ferry stuff with my party, using random wilderness maps to get to the Mouth of Doom. Then I made level 1C Mouth of Doom using Photoshop and the D20 Pro map program. After that, I'm praying that the files will be there. It takes a tremendous amount of time to do that stuff by hand! Here's hoping that they're faster than me.

Does anybody understand how to use the Mazes pieces on level 6? (Rooms marked as 6-2)

page 247 wrote:
All shifting/sliding walls move every time a door is opened. The doors are magically constructed, so only one door per room may be opened at a time. GMs should intentionally give PCs wrong directions (i.e., left = right) at all times, unless the PCs succeed on a DC 30 Knowledge (dungeoneering) on which they cannot take 20. GMs should improvise or alter each section to frustrate and bewilder their PCs. PCs’ attempts to retrace their steps prove futile, and the shifting nature of the maze prohibits classical means of maze solving (e.g., string).

Which walls slide/shift? All of them? Then is this even a "maze" that could be solved? Am I supposed to draw this out for my players, or just keep it verbal-only? I don't know how to GM this.

Then the maps are just pictures of maps. Well, pictures with icons that don't have a legend. What do the bullseyes on Map 1 indicate? The 90' circles on Map 2? The "triggers" on Map 2?

I'm at a loss...

don't let the tone of this query deceive you: I'm loving the rest of this book. GREAT stuff in general

The maze section IMO has always been the weakest portion of Rappan Athuk, along with Greznek, which feels underdeveloped relative to the rest of the dungeon. My suggestion would be to repurpose the procedural table in the Bloodways section, using it there as well. Or actually my recollection is that the Bloodways were a drop in replacement for the maze section in Rappan Athuk reloaded; is this still the case?
