NDA says if it's there it has to be withheld even if it's "leaked" by other sources until paizo deems otherwise. So, still screwed.

Ahh, but the information may have been giving "Prior" to the NDA, which makes it Open information...

Silver Crusade 5/5

I dunno. If I were a VO, which I am, I'd play it safe and not tell you...

Ahh, I see, so the information was posted in the VC forums, which makes that Post NDA...

But If the information was given outside those forums, say, when he was VC in Atlanta to the Current VCs in Atlanta, that would not be covered in NDA since it was not told in a NDA setting...

Kyle, so what we are still good as long as you got the information outside of the VC forums...

;)

I was covered under NDA in Atlanta as a VC so that information would still be privileged.

Doesn't this also mean that if you tell us you're in violation of NDA? Such as if someone hands you a bottle or stein of your favorite brew and you acknowledge it as your favorite?

Grand Lodge 5/5

That's why whenever someone who knows the favorite is going to buy him a drink they have to whisper it to the bartender if there are any non VO's around, and have the bartender pour the drink into an unmarked glass in a back room so you cant see the container from which it was poured.

It's all very detailed and drawn out in the NDA form. Just like how we aren't supposed to talk about how Mark...nevermind...

Ahhh, but I am not trying to get the information from you Mike, I am trying to get the information from the Pratts.

I am assuming they knew the information I am seeking prior to them becoming Co-VCs, which makes it open season on the information I am seeking since they where not beholden to an NDA when they learned the information.

Any information gained prior to "signing" the NDA can not be beholden to the NDA.

Now if they didn't know the information before reading it in the super secret "Brainwashing" VC forums, then yeah, they can't tell me..

;)

Edit: I am assuming you already threatened Dave with "reeducation brainwashing cookies* if he passed the knowledge to me, even if he does owe me a favor, so I have not gone to him...

I'll have to see if I can get baked goods made that will travel well. I'm thinking Mike could be partial to my beer and bacon brownies.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Bacon brownies......interesting. Never tried that before. And bacon goes well with beer!

Are you sure that was two items ("beer" and "bacon brownies"), and not "beer and bacon" brownies?

5/5

Know what goes good with bacon?

Spoiler:
MORE BACON!

Shadow Lodge 4/5 *** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

I'd think a beer bread baked with bacon in it would be excellent. Not so sure about beer in brownies, let alone bacon in the brownies. I have heard that bacon and chocolate is good together, though... Man, now I'm craving chocolate... :/

5/5

Bacon and chocolate is AWESOME

but beer bread with bacon hrmmm.... doable and yummo

Silver Crusade 2/5

I've notice this happens to almost every thread that gets past 20 post in the GM forum.

The only acceptable amount of bacon...

In other news bacon mayonnaise, aka baconaise is gross but bacon maple doughnuts are delicious.

Hah. What do Americans know about bacon? All the stuff you get served over here is just the streaky end of the rasher, and over-cooked so that it shatters if you try to stick a fork in it.

I'm calling shenanigans. NOTHING on this planet tastes WORSE because you add bacon. This was a theory proven true during college.

Hey now! Some of us actually know how to cook bacon properly so it's crunchy but not crispy.

2/5

I don't over-cook my bacon either. And this American loves full-on English breakfasts... preferably with beer and rugby matches.

I have had "Rausch"-style beers, but recently I had this one that blows the doors off the bacon/smoke/sugar meter... Voodoo Donut. (Inspired by the donut shop in Portland... drink at your own risk!)

Hey, you're making assumptions - he said baconaise was gross, not that the bacon element made it worse than the mayo original.

Obviously, mayo is just SO BAD in the first place that even with bacon added, it's still in the "gross" category.

It's made by Rogue brewery so you should be able to find it in your friendly neighborhood specialty liquor shop. :-)

It tastes like dog food. Even people who were high didn't want to eat it. Even putting it on more bacon didn't help.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

At CONvergence last year we had Bacon Brau. The homebrewer accidentally dropped an entire container of bacon salt into the batch. His wife described it as him cleaning glassware when a really loud "oh crap!" came from the kitchen. She found him trying to fish out the container.

It was fantastic.

Sounds like it might be time to break out my attempts at a bacon truffle as well.

Bacon is good, no doubt about it. I have always been firm supporter of chocolate and beer/ale.

(Though I can be a bit of mixed drink guy too - PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME! A SPICY/TEXAN BLOODY MARY IS GOOD FOOD! WITH A BIG DILL PICKLE SLICE! OLIVES, SHRIMPS AND COCKTAIL ONIONS!

Ahem, sorry. It's 0730 hours and a bloody mary sounds good.

Let's get back to the stars for a second

I got three scenario done, and I'm looking at a 4th. (I love you guys.) I know I get paid, but do I get stars?

If I write 10 scenarios, can I be like a faction leader?

And yeah, I'd soak a slice of cooked bacon in my boody mary. I got all that other junk in it, why not? Sounds good.

Liberty's Edge 5/5

Jim, I'm not certain about faction leader, but I'm willing to bet the church of Cayden Cailean would be willing to canonize the person who introduces bloody mary's to Cayden's Hall on a Sunday morning.

The real question is how good the available produce is. Perhaps someone in Andoran can take a preservational shortcut by making tomato vodka and shipping it in.

LOL, I read this just now, while having a bloody mary... it's 11:35 here... a good bloody mary is the perfect way to start off a weekend.

I am all for giving the writers stars. Maybe some gold stars to make them feel super special.

I think the scaling would have to be different though. I can't see why Jim would have to write 100 scenarios just to get his forth star.

Back to your regularly scheduled Bacon:
I saw a bacon cupcake with pink and purple sprinkles this morning at my local farmers market.

Synchronicity strikes! As we're in the middle of this gustatory reminiscence, I find the following post turning up on a totally unrelated (photography) discussion group:

... these are our two weapons: chocolate and bacon. And alcohol. Our three weapons are chocolate, bacon, and alcohol. And ...

Wayfinders 5/5

Well, I'm vegetarian, so no bacon here, but I am slightly drunk as I type this, so I am [b]fully/b] in favor of stars for writers. Maybe each scenario = 5 games GMed?

I consider Bacon powerful enough a substance to substitute for ANY spell component.
