I just realized why I love these messageboards!

I love forums, but eventually most of them leave a bad taste in my mouth, and I have to leave. I have to hand it to Paizo and the moderators: these are some of the most pleasant forums I've used. Great job keeping the troll away. I've known from day one that I liked these boards because people treat each other like human beings here.

I just realized a second big reason I love these forums:

No signatures!!! Thank you, thank you Paizo! I just wanted to say something because I'm sure you get the occasional request to add signatures. All you have to do is go to any forum that allows them and see how and why they'll ruin these beautiful boards as you do. Even on forums that limit the size of the signatures, it's amazing how obnoxious people can still be with them.

Kudos guys!

I resent the anti-troll sentiment, but yeah, signatures are no good.

Oh man I didn't even think about that. I'm sure that's another good thing for these boards, I don't have to scroll through a ton of obnoxious animated or semi-animated sigs.

you might be on to something

no signatures
black text on white
perfect!

If only we have button allowing us to add tags faster (by highlighting a part of text and pushing bold button next to text window for example), at least in conversions/homebrew sections - adding tags manually to monster stat blocks, spells and other game-specific material is pain under the tail...

That would be an awesome feature, a small bar at the top of the message box with a few buttons to control the tags available to us. Not actually modify the text when clicked, just add the tags.

If text is highlighted put them on either side of the highlighted text, if not put the tags on either side of the cursor.
the Dice and List tags could be more complicated, but not necessarily, just have it add the tags and leave the instructions at the bottom of the page as they are now.

I like signatures, as long as they're limited to just a couple of lines of small font text. I saw one forum where people's signatures included pictures that took up half the page, and that was just annoying.

Shadow Lodge

I don't know what you're talking about, I treat everyone like pixels on a screen here.

Dark Archive

Me neither; I might be a bit more friendly to fellow dwarves, but generally I feel contempt towards every non-Chelaxian on these boards, especially all Taldorians and Andorans. ;P

Signatures are only good if there is also a button to hide them all so people don't have to see them if they don't want to. Better yet is to have all signatures automatically hidden and a button to un-hide them.

Feelings of contempt dear Asgetrion? Do not waste emotions, nor even pity these fallow cur.

Look to the natural world as your guide:

Great hunting cats do not have feelings for the bothersome gnats that hover at their heels and magnificent faces, they are merely swatted away without a thought. So too must we treat the bastard sons of Andoran and Taldor.

I think you and I aren't on the same forum, then.

If you consider every disagreement with your opinion as a personal attack ... yeah, maybe.

1. That's thankfully not the case.

2. I'd rather not start a whole ramble on what I did have to complain about.
