Richard Dreyfus claims to be a descendant of Alfred Dreyfus, who was wrongfully imprisoned at the notorious Devil's Island penal colony in French Guiana.

According to a relative of my ex-wife, the aforementioned Richard Dreyfus stole the concept (and, evidently, much of the script) for Mr. Holland's Opus from him, and got away with it.

Have no idea whether or not it's true, but ... interesting factoid, nevertheless.

Depends on the definition of "church". An ancient Egyptian temple was shipped over from its site near the Aswan Dam and reassembled at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

One of the movie posters for Bitka na Neretvi ("Battle of Neretva") was supposedly done by Pablo Picasso, who, it is said, demanded a case of Yugoslav wine as payment. Dunno if that's true, but if so, it's more interesting to me than Yul Brynner starring (but don't get me wrong, I am a Brynner fan).

Italian actor Franco Nero, who played the original Django, also appeared in the movie.

Don't know what he asked for it, but yes, Picasso did the second movie pister of his career for it. (I hadn't gotten that far into the documentary I was watching when I made my first post.)

Also, Picasso's first movie poster was for a Buñuel movie in 1928.

Coolidge, FDR, Ike, Kennedy, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, and Dubya were all right-handed, so you need to check your numbers: either you mean "1974" instead of "1900," or you mean "at least eight" rather than "two."
