Harrow Deck re-release?

Lost Omens Products

Before I spring for a new Harrow Deck I thought i'd better check that it isn't being re-released anytime soon.

Can anybody confirm? Thanks.

With all the usual "what would I know?" caveats. They weren't listed in this semi-recent blog. That would suggest to me they've got plenty left.

As a general rule they don't usually (ever?) telegraph when something is going to be reprinted. Presumably they don't want people holding out for the new version, leaving them with a bunch of unsold stock.

There are also very few products they keep reprinting (though this could potentially fit their criteria, I guess) since it won't have the big spike in sales it did on launch, meaning they'll take ages to sell them or they'll have to reprint fewer (and thus increase the cost).

Having said all that....if someone important is reading this and you are planning a reprint. Would you look into redoing the back of the cards so they are a less immersion breaking prop? The cartoon figure on the back was one of your very few jarring art choices, in my unsolicited opinion.

I bought a "scratch-n-dent" Harrow Deck a couple months ago. The blemish was a nearly indicernable corner crunch of the box, the cards inside were undamaged. You might consider buying a less that perfect deck if you're concerned about money and a new version coming out.

A) We still have plenty of the current printing.
B) I'm not aware of any changes that would need to be made, apart from *possibly* making the card back more of an in-game thing.
C) I have no idea if we even would reprint it when it sells out; it's not something we've needed to discuss.

So, buy away!

+1

Yeah, that was a really wonky decision...

Cheers. Looks like i'm gonna be buying me a harrow deck then.

+1 for a new back design

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but are there any plans to re-use the harrow deck in products to come as heavily as in CotCT? I vaguely remember James speculating over such a decision, but I can be wrong.

We used it pretty extensively in The Harrowing, and also in the Carrion Crown Adventure Path.

another vote for redesigning the back.

I think is a case were many buyers (including me) would rebuy...

But what to-do with the old ones? Black Friday blowout? Cardhalla?

I wish the Harrow cards came in tall 'tarot style' decks too, perhaps with alternate art that was more reminiscent of the Rider Waite style? As much as I love the art on some of the cards, the bear on a unicycle with a birthday party hat is a bit unthematic feeling.

I understand why the cards are the standard size they are, but I would gladly pay money for a "collector's edition" of the harrow deck.

I would also like to see a "full tarot" sized deck with a themed back. I know I would pay for that.

Definitely waiting for a new print with proper card backs.

Would love to give up my money, but not as it stands. :)

I bought the present Harrow Deck and if a better/collectible version was offered I would buy it too.

I like my Harrow Deck but I'm not fond of the back of the cards either, so I put them in black Ultra-Pro Deck Protector sleeves and they look great.

Mine aren't non-glare matte-finish like these, but these will do the job awesomely, I'm sure:

Hey Vic! Was wondering if you had any idea if we might ever see a Harrow reprint. I know lots of players are still just picking up ROTR and other campaigns that integrate harrow or Varisians, and I for one would love to have a set -- even if the best we could do was a PDF that we could print on cardstock at home. Any idea if this might happen?
