LoF for 2 Players, one a 10year old

Legacy of Fire

I would like to start LoF for 2 players, my Gf and also her 10 year old son. I will add 2 DM controlled Chars but in the end I seek 2 easy to play classes for a beginner and 10 year old boy and my GF. What would you advice. Something for them booth to shine and have fun!

Liberty's Edge

I'd go with Paladin or Barbarian for one, and Sorcerer or Oracle for the other.

Paladin and Barbarian are both extremely straightforward early on, and never get a lot more complicated. The Paladin can also grab Diplomacy and help out in social stuff, and gets to be the untarnished good guy, while the Barbarian gets to flip out and kill things.

Sorcerer and Oracle are also prety straightforward in play (they have a couple of spells, which they cast repeatedly), though you might want to help them pick their Spells Known. They can also grab the social skills and do the talking. Sorcerer probably works better, just so they don't have to worry about healing.

That leaves you with some kind of Rogue type and either a healer or other spellcaster as NPCs. It probably works best with a Rogue and either Cleric or Life Oracle focused on healing and buff spells.
