Having formerly worked for KublaCon and having enjoyed it as an attendant for many years, I strongly encourage those on the fence to make the journey.
The Hotel is surprisingly nice to spend time in with a lot of natural light and open space.
The gaming is all top notch.
I've got lots more great things to say but that's probably enough for now.

Ah Kubla, such a great con. I quite literally only see some friends there once a year.
I love those Monday morning Society games in the atrium after a bunch of other people have cleared out. They're very laid back and relaxing, the background roar has died down, it's usually sunny and bright, quite nice after the frantic pace of the weekend.

Too bad I already have holiday plans! :(
Plotting ways kill Nikolai hardly counts as 'plans'.
Please. Get your priorities straight.

Kublacon is great. I have seen a lot of games I want to get into. I should just set up a tent in front of the PFS area. :)
Can a level 1 fighter survive the friday level 1-7 games?
Definitely. Might need to get carried out on a stretcher, but definitely almost likely...maybe you'll survive.
Even more likely is that your level 1 fighter will be at a Tier 1-2 table with other 1s and 2s so that you'll have the right foes for your party.
The (1-7) spread really means: Subtiers (1-2), (3-4), and (6-7)...and we try to lump players by their tiers.
I hope that makes sense Val'Ross.

I'm going to need to go through Kublacon's full schedule to see what stuff my wife and I might want to play together - but I'm happy to judge a few slots (at least three) - what slots still need judges?
We just opened the warhorn on Monday. There are plenty of open judge slots as we've estimated tables. Feel free to sign up to judge what pleases you.

I've signed up as a freeloader^Wplayer for all the sessions, because I'm pretty sure there will be more experienced GMs available (and because my wife and I have only been playing PFS for around half a year, so there are a lot of scenarios we haven't played). But I've already judged my first PFS event, so I'm sure Pain will put the arm on me if he needs to.

[OFFICIAL KUBLACON TEASER]
Return of the NDA Development Workshops!
Were you one of the lucky attendees to participate in past development workshops offered at NeonCon or KublaCon?
No?
What's that tapping? Is that opportunity?
Mmm-hmm!
All you must do is travel (insert appropriate distance here) to the San Fransisco Bay Area for Memorial Day Weekend. Buy a KublaCon 2012 badge
(or better yet, judge four games of PFS for me and get it free) and arrive early to secure your place.
Space will be limited. First come, first serve.
Attendees are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Topic/Subject will be included in Spring 2013 release.
Attn. Carrion Hill players: I will be taking a one hour break from our all day run on Saturday to attend this event. :)
Live 2 Game.
Game 2 Live.

Judge four games of PFS for me and get a free badge.
Strange - the Warhorn pages say you get a free badge if you judge three sessions, but Captain Venture wants four.
Maybe his enthusiasm for Skulls & Shackles has gone to his head?

I'm looking forward to attending my first Kubla Con. See you all in May.
He beat me to the post!
Pathfinder Campaign Coordinator Michael Brock to appear at KublaCon 2012!
I'm also very happy to announce the recent confirmation that Venture-Captain Eric Brittain from San Diego Region will be in attendance!
I know its a bold statement but...
"This could be the Best Damn Kubla ever!"

By four days!
You're the slowest ninja ever.
Instead of sneak attack, you have slug attack.
Instead of trapfinding, you have slowpoking.
Instead of uncanny dodge, you have very canny not-dodge.
Heh. Nailed that last one.

So do we need to judge three or four games to get a badge? I signed up to judge the Quest for Perfection trilogy on Saturday can add another slot if necessary but also was going to start registering for games to play....
Alas I'll miss the NDA session as I'll be judging on Saturday.
One complaint about Kublacon... Too many conflicting choices... :)

Awesome! I look forward to gaming with you and your son again this year (I played at your table for Midnight Mauler and Shades of Ice Part III).

Shivok!
Welcome.
Yeah, I've been using my own techniques to fill up my judge slots.
As such, we have 116 of our 132 planned slots filled with judges already...and it's 5 weeks to the Con. (90% of people asked to judge have done so happily. And I'll be working things out with the other 10%.)
To answer your question, Shivok, yes, we expect LOTS of walk-ins and new players at Kublacon and we want every Intro and Tier(1-5) slot filled despite not having signups for them on Warhorn.
I'm happy to find a way for you to earn your judge badge...and our sweet, sweet judge rewards.

That's a horrible plan. I mean, did you look at that list of players? We make for a pretty shiftless bunch of ne'er do wells. You may as well round up some tourists who don't speak English and put them to work as GM's.
I just assumed Pain put that table together just to keep us out of harm's way for half the con. ;-)

You mean to keep everyone else out of harms way.
The great, benevolent, and hungry god Sobek says hi!BTW Rob I've had the entire eyes of the ten arc printed out in color for the past year. You don't need to print hardcopies.

Yeah, I'm not even going to bother to prep Part IV. I mean, why waste the time if you're just going to die on the way there?
Yeah, we'll see what happens.
But I think some BBEG is going to have a new set of eido-alligator skin boots.
