Looking to start carrion crown in a week or two and want to play an inquisitor - just not sure what to play. Any advice is appreciated.

Looking at 25 point buy. the other players are a druid (animal companion heavy), half orc cleric (combat oriented), bard (chervish dancer). An idea appeals, just not sure how well it would work...

Dwarven Inquisitor of CC - Travel domain)
High STR, CON and WIS.

1)Martial weapon proficiency, want to use dorn-duergar as a weapon. Litany of Sloth as a spell, other spells???
3) Outflank (t/work), other feat????
5) Darting Viper (change weapon from reach to no as a swift action)

Then I don't know..

I have everythig pathfinder available for building. Thanks in advance

honestly, with all that melee, you could use some ranged support. I'd look at a ranged inquisitor. Enfilading fire for a teamwork feat is a good choice for you at that point.

The beauty of 25 point buy, is you can make a character with a nice strong str, dex, and wis, and pump out damage. Bonus points if you take the conversion inquisition and drop cha. This changes all your cha based face skills to wis, and you can be the party face as well.

I'd probably go something like:

Human Inquisitor of (insert god here)
Str 14
Dex 20 (18+2)
Con 12
Int 10
Wis 14
Cha 7

Conversion inquisition at that point basically gives you a +4 to diplo, bluff, intimidate. Plus at level 8, your greater power is to basically dominate person. Instant allies for your fight!

Human bonus feat is helpful to take both point blank and precise shot at level 1, then the typical rapid shit, deadly aim, manyshot, etc.

Just some food for thought. WIth your party, you have more than enough melee and tanks. Flying creatures and such will be your bane. (haha, get it? bane! its an inquisitor thing!)

Hope that helps

Check out the guided weapon property. Are you stuck on the dorn-duergar?

The Dorn-Duergar is tricky and will cost you a feat, because while dwarfs get it as martial weapon, you don´t get martial weapons with the inquisitor, unless you can convince your DM to make it favourite weapon of a secondary dwarven god. I think there´s a pretty conservative son of Torag.
Anyway, i second Weables advise for ranged support, exspecially since the Inquisitor can use repeating crossbows!!! A heavy one would make a nice addition to your party. With a 25-point buy you can easily afford Dex 16, something like:

STR 15 +1 at 4th
DEX 16
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 16
CHA 9

Outflank is nice, but i´d recommend precise strike. As for feats, if this switch-hitting built interests you, get quickdraw and you´re good to go.

I am playing in a carrion crown campaign as an inquisitor, I would also recommend playing an archer.

I would say

str 15
dex 16 +2
con 14
int 12
wis 14
cha 7

for stats, and I would also recommend the conversion domain or good domain (desna), knowledge domain for pharasma is good aswell.

There are Gods out there with some crazy favored weapons, like the net, musket, urumi, bladed scarf, sawtooth sabre, and claw. As far as I know though, the Dorn-Duergar is not a favored weapon. Just something to consider.

Yeah, seeing that problem too. GM´s call. Otherwise its martial proficiency feat, which sucks with a dwarf getting only one feat, but it can be done. Quickdraw at third, or darting viper. Vital strike for heavy rep. crossbow and dorn-duergar both.
Edit: Can´t take Darting Viper before 5th, cause you need BAB+4 to qualify.

Thanks. Ranged looks like a goer here. The rest of the party will be meelee oriented so there's a gap to fill. Weables I assume the STR is for bow use? Sir_shajir is your guy a longbow inquisitor? fish"
Not really stuck on the dorn-duergar just liked the image more than anything. Happy to change to a bowman- just need to decide on crossbow or longbow. Crossbow is more "dwarfish" I suppose. As for domains I see some support for conversion - is travel not as good? +10' movement, teleport ay 8th level (handy for an archer esp since its a miove action) combined with vital strike and deadly aim(?).

One thing I am not certain about - all the stat build here have STR up around 15. Why? Are these longbow builds?

No, not primarily i think, its just that you can afford it with a 25-point buy to have the option to go into melee. A longbow doesn´t really fit with a dwarf IMO, but the problem is rather that the point of the longbow is that you can full-attack with it. As Inquisitor you get your second attack pretty late and can take rapid shot at 3rd levl the earliest and precise shot is propably more important. So, if you have the money, get a heavy repeating crossbow. Point blank at first level, precise shot at third, at fifth maybe deadly aim or far shot.
If your not set on the dorn-duergar, i suggest just a morningstar as back-up melee weapon.

Domain wise, I'm a big fan of Travel as well.

I'm in CC now, if you are low on skilled characters, start out with at least one rank in each of your knowledge skills.

At least in my group, we've been doing a LOT of research in the first module.

Eligos has the Travel domain, and the lance as a favored weapon.

Kind of turning toward a human longbow inquisitor. Have a backstory I really like and it can allow me a bonus 900gp! (chosen one trait), and at 25pts a compund l/bow (+2STR) is a possibility. Human also allows for the extra feat at first level. As a dwarf could easilly do the repeating heavy crossbow, and the drwarf really adds to two abilities of importance. Overall I think the longbow has the edge however, so its looking like human, half-elf or half-orc, human having the edge.
Elf could be a go but the -2CON could be a serous detractor.
