Wanted: Dragons Minis

Anyone looking to sell or trade some dragon miniatures? I'm looking for large-colossal size dragon minis.

Have you checked eBay or Amazon.com?

I have a bunch of Schleich or Safari Limited dragons in the colossal/gargantuan size range. Some of them are simply amazing sculpts. You can sometimes find Todd McFarland dragons on eBay for reasonable prices, and MageKnight miniatures are sometimes dirt cheap. I've got a lot of large ones that I made by gluing Halloween bat wings on cheap lizard miniatures. I got a "dragon toob" and a "bucket o' dragons" from the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie...

How many do you need, and how picky are you?

By far the most expensive route is to go for Wizards' D&D mini line dragons.

Yes, I regularly check Ebay and many sites. I already own 1,500 DDM's. What I'm missing is dragons sized huge or larger. I am picky but am willing to look at any realistic dragons. I do like the DDM dragons and Mcfarlane dragons.

Adamantine Dragon (very cool screen name) send me your pics (or anyone else that has dragons for sale) from Schleigh or Safari Limited.. ericKandkim AT COX dot NET.

Reaper makes some very nice dragon miniatures, although they're on the pricier side, and constructing and painting something of that magnitude may not be what you're looking for. However, they look like they're pretty stunning minis, if you're willing to spend between thirty and a hundred bucks on a figure.

I wish I had the talent and time to paint minis but I don't. Reaper has some very nice minis. I own one of their huge painted dragon minis painted in black. it's my best mini!

For anyone wanting to trade some miniatures, I have about 1,500 WOTC prepainted minis (DDM) that I'm willing to trade for some painted metal or prepainted plastic mini dragons that are sized huge or bigger. Of course, I'll also pay cash for them minis too.

I would suggest wandering through the toy sections of stores, especially discount stores. I have found several larger dragons in there. Now they tend to be poorly painted, but if your willing to put in a little time, you can probably make them look pretty impressive without too much effort. Glue them to a base and your good to go at a fraction of the price of official miniatures.

Google "Macfarlane Dragon" or "Schleich Dragon". Both make some nice, large, pre-painted dragons.

This is the one I want until Paizo gives me a Gargantuan Green Dragon. MacFarlane Fire Dragon

This has to be the best two headed dragon for the money. I got this one and I think it was $10 or $15 bucks. Schleich 2-Headed Fire Breathing Dragon

I already have the MacFarlane dragon in route. I bought several Macfarlane dragons based on some DF forum recommendations. I've never heard of Schleich dragons though until your post. The two head dragon looks perfect! WOW! nice. How big are the Schleich dragons? I'm hoping for dragons sized at least huge or bigger by DDM standards.

All of the Schleich dragons are at least huge size.

Sebastard Thanks! I got a couple on the way and plan to buy that water dragon in the next couple days! What does everyone think of the durability of Scleich and Macfarlane dragons?

I can only speak to the durability of the Schleich monsters. I have the regular Dragon and the Chimera, so far. My kids beat the bejesus out of those things and they don't have a scratch on them.

I have bought Schleich & Safari Limited dragons before for my little ones...

they quality is actually better than what you get with he D&D mini line.
Very sturdy plastic, decent details also.

I usually pick them up from Hobby lobby or Micheal's craft stores.

Hint: normally int he Sunday paper or on their web site there is a weekly 50% off coupon...
