Any chance of a Villains book?

Lost Omens Products

The title says it all.
One thing I found missing in Pathfinder is a book with all the villains or almost all of them.
What I want to know is if there is any plan in the near future for a book of this kind?
A book kind of like a "bestiary" but only about villains :D

Would a book like that have a chance to see print?

I'd also like this - particularly if it included a few minions/sidekicks/allies for each villain in addition to a statblock and backstory.

What you are looking for is the Rival Guide.

That's good for villains who are also adventurers. I'd personally quite like to see a broader pool of villains.

There's the Rival Guide, the NPC guide, The back of the GMG, 54 AP issues and about 40 modules chock full of NPCs.

However I suspect that there will be a hardcover NPC guide at the end of the year instead of Bestiary 4. This is based on extrapolation on some comments made by Paizo staff, nothing concrete.

What I am looking for is a book with villains like this, for example:

You get an entry for Tar-Baphon with his description and illustration, and then some background and illustrations for some of his henchmen...something like this.

I would like to see something a bit more than just a bunch of stat blocks. I would like to see a book on how to create memorable villains. How to work with different types of villains. How to work with different motivations. 3.5 had Exemplars of Evil and The Book of Vile Darkness. I would like to see Paizo's take on something along those lines.

The problem with a hardcover book of villains would be that it wouldn't be of much use for anybody who doesn't run Golarion... and making such a book setting-neutral makes little sense for Paizo.

I'd totally buy this sort of book.

Of course I'd also totally buy a copy of the Big Book of Mephits, and the Faeriedragonomicon. So perhaps I'm not a representative sample of the normal market. :)

Im relatively new to Pathfinder.
So a book like this would be awesome just for having cool villains in it, i am not thinking in its play value, like in D&D I feel the lack of that kind of book... a book of antagonists from the different settings a book that would contain entries for villains/antagonists like (Lolth, Acererak, Kyuss, Aurgloarasa, Warduke, Vecna...)

I would buy a villians book if it were setting neutral.
Especially if it had both sample villians (complete with motivations, henchmen, plot hooks, etc.), as well as a how-to guide to creating memorable villians.

Hugor, might Scions of Evil be of use to you (click the link to learn more)? Of course, it's not out until May, but if you can wait then it might be what you are after.

@TheWhiteknife: It sounds like you would be interested in this book: Villains: Rebirth. It's for 3.5, but has most of what you are looking for.

heh... Good times! My first RPG book! (There's a proto-Sandpoint in there, even...)

I think there's also a proto Magnimar in there as well, and possibly a couple of other Golarion equivalents. It's been a bit since I last looked at my copy.

Last weekend I was bouncing the idea of a "villains on commission" project... maybe I wasn't that far off.

i am talking about a book of Golarion villains, think about it as a book in line with "princes of darkness" something like that.
