Based on Paizo’s individual miniature pricing, the value of a broken up case is $649.17.
I've also done some quick research on Ebay. The average price for the past week on completed auctions for the minis is shown. Price includes about $3 shipping on each. Cost to purchase one of every mini from Ebay and pay $3 shipping on each mini ($114 shipping-goblins were sold in pairs) is $253.91. Current Ebay value of a case $484.04

Okay, so I have a weakness for minis. I broke down and purchased a third sealed case. I decided to note locations, in parentheses, of the minis within each brick. Swiftbrook, since you posted the cost to get a complete set from both Ebay and Paizo, I thought I would throw in one more. You can get a complete set from Miniature Market for $179.25. This includes the black dragon (it's $151.25 without it) and includes free shipping for orders over $100.
Note: other than being an occasional customer of theirs, I have no affiliation with them. I just happened to order a few mini's from them earlier today so they were in mind when I read your post.
Edit: I should have ready your post better, I just noticed you listed a price for a case and I listed a price for a complete set. BIG difference!
Ok, I went back and figured the price of a case using your numbers. The average price of a case from Mini-Market would be $266.06 not including the cost of the Dragon. Add $28 for the Dragon.
I've also done some quick research on Ebay.
Based on what effort i imagine that took, you and I have very different meanings of the word "quick".

Anyone want to play "Guess the missing booster?"Based on your case contents and the limited brick breakdowns we have, I'd guess a toss up between a Human Rogue or Human Ranger. I'll go Ranger.Great googly moogly I think you may be right. I didn't count last night but as it stands I'm 95% sure I got three rogues but only have 2 of them marked on the sheet.
Anyone want to trade a rogue for a ranger? >:)

Very disappointed in the Druid (I could see offering this to a player and having them ask, “Do you have an actual druid mini?”)
I have to admit I was disappointed with the Human Druid when she was previewed. But when I got her in hand, I had a change of heart. She is a well painted mini. Ironically, the next night in my campaign, I set up a town encounter, and needed some townsfolk to add to the flavor of the encounter. I used the Human Druid as a woman gathering water from a fountain. She looked better as a bystander than just about any other figurine I had on the table, including many Reaper metal minis of townsfolk. After this, I was sold on this mini being a prize in the set. There are very few minis in pre-painted plastic that can be used for non-combatants. She is one. If you are looking for a Druid to play as a PC or NPC, then you are right. She is likely not the right mini. But consider her other uses. YMMV!

I have to admit I was disappointed with the Human Druid when she was previewed. But when I got her in hand, I had a change of heart.
This is true for pretty much every miniature in the line. The photos do not do them justice.
I believe they did it on purpose. If not they need to hire a professional photographer or watermark all concept photos clearly.
I can honestly say that after opening my case of minis I was impressed that they didn't look as crappy as I expected some to be. Which lead to me having a higher opinion and a greater satisfaction with the money I spent.
So if the PR department tried to do that on purpose, I say you win.

Now lets get down to serious business and talk about the Rise of the Runelords set. I am eagerly awaiting the conversion to PFRPG and minis to go along with it. Here is a suggestion, what about some map packs/flip maps to go with it.

Sell 5 Half-Orc Barbarians and buy Zombies. You may get more than 5 Zombies for the money. There maybe some out there that may be willing to trade with you too. ;)
Since the Half-Orc sells for $12 and the Zombie $3 on Paizo's website, I would say you are well ahead of the game.

Got plenty of Orcs, would like a few more Goblins and a lot more Zombies and Skeletons.Way to many Dorf fighters and Elf Wizards and Werewolves.Four Minotaur's is a bit much and I don't need so many Venomous Snakes.The one real disappointing mini for me is the Giant Spider,it is the smallest min and classified as a medium, they should be packed 2 per pack.
I try to exercise self-skepticism. Instead of dismissing your post out-of-hand, I went and looked at my miniatures. All three of my giant spiders overflow their bases. I've expressed my own opinion of some things in the set that are improperly-sized, but I can't agree with yours.

I'm not terribly upset by this development. I just wish the uncommons and commons would have been more plentiful. I'll end up mod'ing the hobars and making bloodied variants to give away eventually.
As far as selling them? I'd be shocked if someone was paying $12 for a hobar ($2-2.50) that only goes for a half dollar more than a zombie ($1-2) on ebay. That being said, anyone that would like to trade 4 zombies or skeletons for a hobar or two, feel free to contact me.

Working on renovating the basement, so I may have to do some side by side of the D&D Goblins and spiders and their pathfinder counterparts.
Does anyone know if incorrect bases are common in this set? I got a lich the other day but it was labeled succubus. Just curious if this is a common issue or if I got something golden here.
I didn't get any, but its something that I have heard a decent number of people bring up.

Alright, got two cases and a scale. (only does LBs / KGs) May get a more accurate one here in a bit...
So far (at least as far as I can tell with the current scale), There is a difference in the weight per brick.
(Going from left to right in Case #1)
All weights are with packaging. (Each weight has been taken on three separate occasions).

No boosters had any tape at all.
Nothing broken or missing. Seelah's head is a little derpy.
Of the 9 dupes that I received between the two bricks, 7 appeared at the same location.
Out of two bricks, I received 32 out of 40 figures. Not bad at all.

Wow. How many pieces did it break into?
Is it me, or if you want more goblins, going into a FLGS and pulling lower left will make you a happy buyer?
I've gotta agree with this. In my case I numbered my boxes 1-3 from left to right for the large boxes and 1-8 left to right for the middle row and 9-16 left to right for the bottom row.
All three of the Red Goblin boxes I got were in position 9 (some people call it position 12) or bottom left corner.
Both of the Blue Goblin boxes I got were in position 11 (14 by some people) or third one in from the bottom left.
The two Gnome Fighter and Dire Rat boxes I got were also in position 12(15 by some).
When position 9(12) and 11(14) weren't goblins, they were orcs.
There are some other positions that look promising for getting specific figs, but with only one case I can't be sure. I'm betting the red goblins position is probably a good bet though.
I ordered a case with dragon for $200 in November from a company called Popular Collections. I emailed them a couple of days ago to ask for a tracking number, or to confirm the minis have been shipped, and they have not responded, then I googled them, and found plenty of Heroclix collecters have had issues with them in the past.
Caveat Emptor and all that, but still an excellent price, as long as we get our minis.

Condition: I did receive an entire set though one of the paladins had a broken shield arm (quickly fixed with some superglue)and some of the mold plastic still attached to her shoulder.
Final Opinion: Overall I'm happy though could have used more goblins and less paladins and the giant spiders on a medium base and the size of a goblin gives me a sad face.
The ettins are freaking HUGE, they tower over my dragon and the frost giant in height and weight. Probably should scale that thing back next run.
I may break down and buy another brick or two but will probably just buy a dozen goblins off e-bay to fill my need for mayhem.
Can't wait till the next run, I need some scorpions, swarms and more flying creatures next time.

Yeah, they are pretty notorious for only preordering what was ordered in the first few days, and then scrambling for stock to cover the orders made after that. They usually fill everything, but they're a month behind.

I used to order SWM and DDM from them. Best price on the Web, but most of the time it took a month to get my case which meant I was a month behind on trading and buying singles. With WizKids printing a set very close to pre-orders, I would not be comfortable ordering WK minis from Popular Collections.
