Are there any detailed City write-ups out? Or coming out?

Lost Omens Products

I am half-aware of Cities of Golarion. Meaning I've seen the result come up in google. But I am wondering if there are, or if there will be, any densely written-up products for a city in Golarion. Something like a Waterdeep or a Ptolus (albeit a reasonable size; Ptolus is stupid-big).

Is there anything, or is anything coming?

Thanks!

The Guide to Absalom and Guide to Korvosa are both 64 page products about a specific city

Thanks!

In addition to the two mentioned by the good captain, there's also City of Strangers which details the city of Kaer Maga. Like the other two, this one is a 64-page beauty.

Also, Pathfinder Adventure Path #50 - Night of Frozen Shadows has a write-up of Kalsgard (largest city in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings). Might be similar to what you're looking for.

And let's not forget Dark Markets - Guide to Katapesh.

Lantern Lodge

And the Magnimar book coming next year.

This one is an absolute masterpiece! Highly recommended, it's a good read from cover to cover. Plus, the city itself seems like an excellent setting for an entire campaign!

Cool! Much obliged.

About six months ago I posed the same question on a thread somewhere hereabouts - was Paizo ever going to do a detailed city product a la City of Greyhawk, Waterdeep etc. James replied that it was something they were very interested in doing, and would almost certainly have out in the market at some point. When the time is right, I guess (not to mention having the space in the schedule), so really for a major product it's a question of patience. In the meantime there are the excellent products mentioned above. Can't comment on the others as I don't have them, but +1 to the awesomeness of City of Strangers.

City of Strangers is probably my favorite campaign setting RPG product of all time. Every single sentence of that tome oozes flavor and inspiration.

Weird, Kaer Maga does absolutely nothing for me, I don't get at all why people like it so much. I look forward to the Magnimar book a lot, though. I'd love to see a big book about Westcrown most, though.

James Sutter is a great writer, and his ideas for KM are pure genius. Also, generic fantasy cities such as Magnimar and Westcrown are boring.

Thanks for all the kind words, everybody! (And no offense taken, Zaister--Kaer Maga's a pretty weird place, which means the utility is going to be limited for some campaigns.)

And if you like Kaer Maga, I'd suggest you keep an eye on the upcoming Shattered Star adventure path.... :D

The forthcoming Jade Regent AP#6 The Empty Throne will have a gazetteer for the Minkai capital city of Kasai. To the best of my knohbwledge, it will be the first gazetteer for a city located in Tian Xia. This AP issue is scheduled for a January release.

I assume you've looked through "Council of Thieves" then. There's enough info in that six-part campaign to make a book on Wescrown all by itself.

Yes, I have, just recently, after we finished the Council of Thieves campaign I was a player in. Now I'm gearing up to start my own campaign, and it's just that I like the city well enough that more information still would be cool. :) In the absence of a dedicated new book I'm planning to take a few ideas from The Wire's Baltimore for my campaign.
