Dragon Disciple / Draconic Sorcerer Question (Bloodline Powers)

The Dragon Disciple ability "Blood of the Dragons"

A dragon disciple adds his level to his sorcerer levels when determining the powers gained from his bloodline. If the dragon disciple does not have levels of sorcerer, he instead gains bloodline powers of the draconic bloodline, using his dragon disciple level as his sorcerer level to determine the bonuses gained. He must choose a dragon type upon gaining his first level in this class and that type must be the same as his sorcerer type. This ability does not grant bonus spells to a sorcerer unless he possesses spell slots of an appropriate level. Such bonus spells are automatically granted if the sorcerer gains spell slots of the spell's level.

Does a dragon disciple continue to get his SORCERER Bloodline Feats and Bloodline Spells? Is there a difference between "powers gained from his bloodline, and bloodline powers?

Thanks Guys.

I believe so, but he has to be able to cast the level of spell in question.

With Blood of Dragons, you only gain the bloodline powers (claws, resistances, wings, etc.) and the bonus spells as soon as you can cast spells of the appropriate level. You don't gain any bloodline feats with that ability because the prestige class already gives them to you at levels 2, 5, and 8. There is no difference in the wording because powers are powers. A bloodline feat is not a bloodline power, but they are both Sorcerer class features.

So...

... yes spells.
... yes powers.

... no feats.

Huh? I could've sworn The Prestige Class got the entry 'Bloodline Feat' at Levels 2, 5 and 8...

It does. We had one player believe that bloodline feats counted as "powers gained from bloodline" thus those feats would stack with the sorcerer bloodline feats.

EDIT: I'm still not sure that Bloodline Spells count as "powers gained from bloodline." For one, there is something called, specifically, a bloodline power. Secondly, this would give a player a 9th level spell, but he wouldn't have a spell slot to cast it, which seems to make no sense.

You get the bonus spells because the ability specifically points them out. It does not, however, specifically point out bloodline feats. They are already built into the prestige class.

Durrr... don't know why I didn't read the last 2 sentences of it... ok, so they explain the spell slot dilema.

Greetings, fellow travellers.

Also answered here:

old thread concerning dd, draconic sorcerer and bonus spells

You get the bloodline bonus spells only if you have levels in sorcerer (draconic) and have the appropriate CL - see thread mentioned above.

A bard/dd combination would only get Claws, Dragon Resistances, and eventually the Breath Weapon.

Backed up by Jason Bulmahn:

Q: What does this the powers gained from his bloodline and bloodline powers refer to? Only Bloodline Powers from the draconic bloodline sorcerer, or Bonus Spells in addition to the Bloodline Powers, or Bonus Feats and Bonus Spells in addition to the Bloodline Powers.
A:(Jason Bulmahn 8/26/2009) Just the abilities listed under Bloodline Powers in each Bloodlines description. In addition, you gain the bloodline spells if you have levels of sorcerer and the appropriate slots available to you. You gain the feats at the rate indicated by the pclass.
