Significant Material Components

Rules Questions

Is there a list of core rule book spells that require material components that have a significant cost (1gp+)? For the first time I am requiring significant spell component inventory management in my campaign but, since I've never done it before, I have no idea what spells need them so we are forced to look up every spell.

Is there some method to determining which spells use significant material components? A certain level or school of magic that serves as an indicator?

I searched the PRD using "Components M gp" but this only brings up 3 spells.

Go to d20pfsrd.com.

Go to the Spells DB.

Find the column marked "costly_components" (or some abbreviation of that).

Set the dropbox underneath it to "1".

Profit!

Nope. You just have to look at each spell individually. When I prepare my spells or chose them I would mark the spell at that time.

Animate Dead.
Raise Dead and the other return to life spells need expensive components.
The restoration spells do also except for lesser restoration.
Stoneskin does.
That is off of memory though, that I know that.

If you go to the class spell lists in the Core Rulebook, spells with costly material components or foci have a superscript "M" and/or "F" after the spell name.

This. At least for the superscripted M.

Its easy to pick them out that way.
