Gunslinger Bravado without guns?

Homebrew and House Rules

I played a Gunslinger during the beta.
He did everything, killed everything, rode monsters while shooting them in the head and did double backflips while doing it. In short, the rest of the table thought he was over the top, too OP for our style of play.
I played a gunslinger/inquisitor (toned down) who was basically my version of Hell-boy. But the group again felt things were overshadowing the rest of the game.

They boiled it down to guns, so I'm outvoted, no more guns.

But the things the gunslinger does is so cool.

So the question is: How do I work grit/gunslinger feats n stuff into the game. We are always doing this kinda stuff, dangling from tree branches dueling flying monsters with a weapon in one hand, charging flying monsters by jumping off cliffs to hit them etc.

Im tempted to allow everyone to have grit, kinda like hero points, but use grit system instead.

The Heretic Inquisitor in the party already has the 'no name' feat. I just feel without the gunslinger, we a really missing the type of character that tight rope walks across the chasm while duel wielding and knocking enemies down on the other side of the chasm. Woot!

For some reason, our players are always trying to do this with paladins in full plate instead! lol. Good times!

Silver Crusade

While I don't really compare with the quality of Super Genius Games's works, you may also be interested in this thread, which includes the Braggart, Bravo and Gloriosus as fighter archetypes using Grit and deeds, respectively of versatility, swashbuckling, and power.

hey thanks ive been off the boards for a while so i didnt see that.

Rite Publishing put out "Secrets of the Gunslinger" and included a Wandslinger archetype. It is a gunslinger who uses wands instead of guns, intended for situations like yours; a player wants to play a gunslinger, but the campaign does not support guns.
