Girl Genius
Questionable Content

I am going to check out some of the ones on TOZ's list, too. He generally has pretty good taste.

I read a bunch of web comics, most of which someone else has already meantioned. the one i'm not seeing (and my favorite) is

Schlock Mercenary

Shadow Lodge

I don't know if it is your thing, but Questionable Content has a lot of indie rock references early on, then gets more serious as it develops.

And if you aren't reading Something Positive, YOU of all people need to.

The Exchange

I also read OOTS, Girl Genius, and Sam and Fuzzy.

I highly recommend Modest Medusa.

Also, I enjoy Bardsworth, but it's definitely tamer and not really to be considered edgy.

Scarab Sages

Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber; Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Not already mentioned:
Accidental Centaurs
Doc Rat
The Dragon Doctors
Dungeons & Denizens
Evil, Inc.
Kevin & Kell
Slightly Damned
Spinnerette
Supernormal Step

Grand Lodge

Ive read several of the ones already listed off and on. Gonna have to start back up with several of them.

Not listed:
Super Effective (Pokemon)- pretty funny

Gutters (Superheroes)- pretty funny

DarthsandDroids (Star Wars)- A Star Wars version of 'DM of the Rings', which ended. Basic concept in both of them is that the *movies in question* were never made in real life, but are the homebrew campaign of a GM. The players are the characters in the movies. Funny stuff, really. Qui-Gon casting 'Summon Bigger Fish' in Ep 1 in DarthsandDroids, Frodo sarcastically telling Aragorn 'That's great, we'll let you know if we need to tame a bear.' about Aragorn's excitedment at playing a ranger. :P

If you'll note, I do list Questionable Content on my list. I love that the hipster douches in that strip remind me of a lot of my local friends, drama and all ;-)

I'll check out Something Positive, thanks for the tip :-)

Edit: TOZ, just read the very first Something Positive. Oh, you know me too well! Bookmarked.

Shadow Lodge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I did miss that, whoops. :D

Girls With Slingshots might tickle your fancy as well. There are a couple on that list I found because of S*P, thanks to crossover stories. Seriously, S*P is like a webcomic hub world or something.

Edit: HAH! First strip gets them every time.

Dark Archive

How has Homestuck not made this list yet? How?

Currently Followed:
Zap!
Order of the Stick
The Bean (currently my favorite)

Previously followed:
8-bit Theater (I still chuckle about Fighterdoken and Boatdoken)
Goblins (I quit more out of frustration with Thunt than with anything in the comic itself)
Erfworld (didn't hook me)
Looking for Group (also didn't hook me)
VG Cats (a little too over top for my taste)
Penny Arcade

Hmmmnnnnn... There are some web comics that I have never heard of. ~bookmarks this page for later use~

Liberty's Edge

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Another follower of Girl Genius, Something Positive, OotS, Looking for Group, Modest Medusa (kind of quirky, but it grows on you), Questionable Content, Supernormal Step, and XKCD (some of them go directly up on my office door).

Strips not yet mentioned:
Otherworld
El Goonish Shive
The Chronicles of Loth
Planescape Survival Guide (art isn't that good, but the story's amusing)
Riven Sol (Lovecraftian romantic SF; sounds weird, but it works)
Valentine's Dei (near-future noir)
Flaky Pastry
Lovecraft is Missing
Dresden Codak
Endstone (very Silver Age feel)
Sluggy Freelance

ETA: Scandinavia and the World (because your country is weird, too)

Shadow Lodge

Okay, Modest Medusa is adorable.

Shadow Lodge

Also a fan of: Sluggy Freelance, Goblins, Scandinavia and the World, Order of the Stick, xkcd

Recently picked up:
Head Trip

Occasionally browse:
Partially Clips

Liberty's Edge

I'm mostly reading:
Sluggy Freelance, PvP, and Dr. McNinja

EDIT:
Oh and VGCats, but it hasn't been updated that frequently lately.

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

  • Little Dee
  • Dresden Codak
  • Chim Chum and the Portly Samurai
A lot of these are from this post, which I'm really glad I made because I lost a bunch of bookmarks a while ago. I'm still missing a few, I think.
(in case you couldn't tell I have no discretion whatsoever when it comes to comics)

Then there's this little comic.

Edit: Hey xn0o0cl3 get your ass over to the MSPA thread. I have been looking for people like you. Tryin' to get the word out, y'know???????? We can slam and maybe talk about [S] Cascade a little.

The Exchange

Webcomics I'm following at the moment:

Order of the Stick
Questionable Content
Sinfest
Something*Positive
Least I Can Do
Girls With Slingshots
Wayward Sons (VERY cool re-telling of ancient earth myths and such)
PvP
Bad Machinery
Dork Tower
Darths & Driods
ErfWorld
Gutters
The Dreamer

Here is my list (in random order):

OotS - Gunnerkrigg Court - Erfworld - LICD - LFG - Goblins - Nodwick - Full Frontal Nerdity

No particular order:

Sparkling generation valkyrie Yuuki
Schlock mercenary
Misfile
Gaia
Red string
Atland
Menage a 3
Irregular webcomic
Erstwhile

Regularly:
Oots
xkcd

Irregularly, but should be more:
Dr. McNinja
Penny Arcade
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal

and I forgot to add:
Piled Higher and Deeper (so true if you've ever been a graduate student)

airforce blues
Terminal lance
penny arcade
Vg cats
darths and droids
looking for group
geist panik

Silver Crusade

Right now I only read:
Punch an' Pie
Head Trip

Neither one has updated in quite a while. And I'm a busy, busy bee.

Sometimes I will pop over to XKCD if someone sends me a great link.

I composed the film score for PHD: The Movie; uh, no way to say that without sounding like a horn-tooter. It's a purty funny movie.

I read way too many webcomics. A friend just recommended Goblins and I devoured the archive in a day or two, thanks in part to us ramping up a Pathfinder campaign after years of inactivity.

Other stuff I'm reading:

Questionable Content
Girls With Slingshots
Menage a 3
Drowtales
Wayward Sons
Lovecraft is Missing
Modest Medusa
Sister Claire
Bearmaggedon
Axe Cop
Subnormality

etc, etc. I should be reading xkcd or Diesel Sweeties, or something, but I keep getting drawn to the cheesy adventure comics. Besides, a friend of mine just got eaten on Bearmaggedon, which is guest-death-olicious.

Spinnerette

I'm surprised no one here has mentioned Rusty and Company. (A rust monster, a gelatinous cube, and a mimic decide to become adventurers. What's the worst that could happen??) MUCH hilarity. And somewhere in their archives is the Single Greatest Bluff Check Ever.

Weregeek Another gamer/geek/nerd comic. Well written, lots of geekery and laughs.

And lots of the others that have been listed above.

d20 Monkey Another gamer comi... y'know, I think I'm starting to see a pattern here.

The Exchange

Manly Men doing Manly Things. Also known as The Punchline is Macho-ism. That is a funny series.

Something Positive and xkcd. I liked SP more in the early years when it was meaner, though.

I read Freakangels until it ended.

The Exchange

Homestuck/MSPaint Adventures

Darths and Droids

Unsounded

Nodwick/Full Frontal Nerdity

Goblins

Darken/Widdershins

XKCD

Order of the Stick

I still keep up with a few others that I'm not nearly as interested in anymore

Erfworld
PvP
Looking for Group

Homestuck
Gunnerkrigg Court
Order of the Stick
Unsounded
Widdershins
Girl Genius
Rusty and Company
Monster Pulse
Friendship is Dragons

That's about all these days, used to be a much longer list.

Come down to Xane, you won't be disappointed.

Homestuck
Darths and Droids (irregularly)
Homestuck
Order of the Stick
Homestuck
XKCD
Did I mention Homestuck yet?
In all seriousness, I love Homestuck. Mostly for the music.
I also need to read Goblins, I've been told.

We hears you been movin' in our turf.

Forgot this one somehow! Despite having this alias even. Thanks for the reminder ;)

Liberty's Edge

Whoa Homestuck fans!

Orthos, I saw in your profile that you are working on a webcomic. Is it currently running?

Not yet. The artist has one of his own working up and updating sporadically here and when mine starts it'll be hosted there, but we've not as of yet begun my project. The artist is in the Navy so his work schedule gets wonky sometimes, and it's slowed down our intended production timeline.

Liberty's Edge

Ah. Still, I like this art.

Shadow Lodge

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Friendship is Dragons. Gamer/bronies might like it.

Liberty's Edge

Wow. Rice Boy, and its sibling comics, is really good.

One of my friends also linked me to Ava's Demon (cool format), Unsounded (cool story), Occasional Comics (Calvin & Hobbes-tier), and Three Word Phrase (scribblettes).

I read some of the ones already mentioned, but also one that hasn't been. I love the story and the artwork, but it only updates once a week, and DO NOT google it from work. It is very adult in content, very adult. It's called Bloomin' Fairies

now ive got Menage a 3 and Lackadaisy.... and the later is due to this thread
