Question To Potential Buyers about Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Distant Worlds

Just curious: Castrovel, or Akiton? Which do you wanna know more about?

I gotta go with Akiton.

The green one.

And Golarion's moon.

I have to go with Castrovel the Green (I used the full name, so it's not like Hase's answer!).

I mean, Akiton... yeah... Mars-Like... Everything dry.... Everyone's a warrior.... a bunch of guys from earth (or, in this case, Golarion), got there by accident (usually involving teleportation and/or time travel) and are chasing alien tail....

Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt to prove it ("I went to Mars and seduced the beautiful princess and all I got was this shirt." I wanted a kingdom, dammit!)

Castrovel spots jungles (always more interesting than barren wastelands) and naked psychic chicks. And I really want Paizo to give us more Psionics stuff! (And naked chicks, naturally.)

In the interests of gender equality, I wouldn't be against the psychic chicks having scantily-glad (or naked) man-slaves. And I wouldn't consider my gender threatened by the fact that the women are dominant in that society.

Oh, and: That's not a moon!

I want one of those shirts now.

So, one for Akiton, and one for Castrovel.

Kae Yoss is probably just hassling me.

Castrovel. Because I'm sure Paizo's pulp influcences make the natives more interesting*

Akiton - Yeah I'm more familiar with ERB's Martian take, and already have my own version.** So give me Castrovel

*

Spoiler:
The jungles of Castrovel lend themselves nicely to Xephs being native to the world, and if we have desert regions, the half giants work fine there. Dromites also work well in Castrovel as 'jungle bug/hafling/pygmies'. Matthew's Half Giants are native to his Golarion (bred by ancient Osirons to counter the Runelords, that didn't work so well) And Elans are Azlanti exiles who 'adapted' to Castrovel's ecosystem to survive.

**

Spoiler:
Short form, 'furry planet'. Roving bands of litroians vs small enclaves of siberkai, with other groups of 'uplifted' (I love that term!) animal hybrids fighting over the resources of a dying world. Think Litorians = Green Martians and you see whre I'm going.

I actually am more interested in all of the other planets. Castrovel and Akiton both play with enough standard tropes of fantasy Mars and Venus that I could draw upon those to fill in the blanks, but the other planets are more unique and therefore I want to know more about those.

Akiton out of those two, I'm more interested in what's going on between the planets (spelljamming for example)

Castrovel. It just grabbed my imagination and won't let go.

Whelp, Venus is winning. Interesting.

Akiton. Tradition must be upheld. :)

I want each planet to get it's own 60 page book + a 32 page Player Companion atleast.

No love for Apostae? Or did it suffer Pluto's fate and get demoted to dwarf planet? And just what does "dwarf planet" imply in a fantasy RPG anyway? :)

Eox.

Megadungeon.

Eox definitely Eox.
But Akiton since that answers the OP.

I also want 96 pages (or more), can I get that?
Pretty Please with sugar and severed goblin heads on top :)

Well for starters, a dwarf planet would be almost entirely covered in hair.

I've got love for Apostae. I'd quite enjoy knowing what's going on out there. Really, I think Castrovel and Akiton are probably the least interesting other planets in Golarion's system.

I will never think of Eris the same, now. *sigh* :-D

Castrovel!

???????

Why can't we just have a big 'ol hardcover like the Inner Sea World guide called Distant Worlds? You don't need a comprehensive individual book about each world. You just need a thorough explanation about travel between them.

It wouldn't hurt to accompany this with a Distant Worlds Bestiary or bundled players guides (two or three worlds per book).

Paizo's focus shouldn't be Other Worlds for the next five years.
