Google Docs - Beginner Box Style Monster Statblock Template

Beginner Box

5 people marked this as a favorite.

I think I'm going to do a lot of running in the Basic Box, and as such I made a Google Docs template useful for converting monsters from the full game, making custom monsters, or NPCs. I'd like to share it with all of you!

And here it is!

I believe you can save a copy to edit yourself. I hope this helps out any GM on the go who wants to slip a couple of custom creatures into their adventures!

Awesome

I've always had gripes about how statblocks looked and were a bit convoluted.

Thanks for doing this!

Is it just me, or is what has changed has basically been the use of color, fonts, and bolding? I guess this shows the importance of good visual design.

I just can't look at old 3.0-style statblocks anymore. Those things give me a headache.

I swear when I opened the Bzb books I thought I was reading 4e. :)

I am glad that PF has updated their visual presentation with this product.

Nice work!

Dark Archive

Pretty spiffy.

Thank you Rixx, this is great! I am glad you have shared this with the community. :^)

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Sorry I couldn't make it better; Google Docs has kind of iffy support for tables at the moment. If I get a chance to revisit it, I'll try to make it two statblocks to a page and have the CR, HP, etc. divided into their own cells.
