Character generation dice statistics

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I've got an excel file I've worked out that has the data and graphs for different types of character creation statistics. For example 3d6 averages a 10-11 with a relatively large standard deviation whereas 10d2-2 is a very small standard deviation that has a fairly high average.

Is anybody interested in it? I thought I'd share it since it took me nothing to make it.

If you're thinking of sharing a file, just do it. Don't ask. Unless it's NSFW or something, of course.

You want a weird stat generation method, though? Take any one stat generation method, then fill a 6x6 grid with numbers generated using it. Then tell the players "You can take any row, column or diagonal, and read it forward or backward, but those are your stats in order. No two people can take the same set in the same direction, negotiate amongst yourselves if there is a conflict."

You can denote that a stat set has been taken by drawing an arrow pointing to the starting number, and in the direction of the set (pointing horizontally for a row, vertically for a column, and diagonally for a diagonal).

For extra fun, have players pick one of the remaining sets should they die (without revive options) or decide to retire.
