Menacing weapon enhancement:
Menacing
Source: Advanced Player's Guide
Aura Moderate illusion; CL 10th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, phantasmal killer; Price +1 bonus.
DescriptionThis ability can only be placed on a melee weapon.
This weapon property helps allies deal with flanked foes. When the wielder is adjacent to a creature that is being flanked by an ally, the flanking bonus on attack rolls for all flanking allies increases by +2. This ability works even if the wielder is not one of the characters flanking the creature.
What if I'm a TWFer and have this on each weapon? +4 bonus?

And does this apply to you as well?

As long as you would obtain a flanking bonus you would obtain the extra +2. I do not believe you could obtain two bonus's from multiple weapons of Menacing.. however it does not state a type of bonus, simply saying
increases by +2", nor does it say "becomes +4 instead of +2"...AerynTahlro |
I do not think they would stacks sent it coming from the same place
Honestly... it doesn't indicate "yes this stacks" or "no it doesn't stack", and it's an untyped bonus, so I could see arguments both ways. Logically, it would probably seem a little broken if it did stack, though... Two 2-weapon fighters with this on each weapon would gain a +10 on flanking if they both flanked... >.>

No, it does not stack.
Bonus Types: Usually, a bonus has a type that indicates how the spell grants the bonus. The important aspect of bonus types is that two bonuses of the same type don't generally stack. With the exception of dodge bonuses, most circumstance bonuses, and racial bonuses, only the better bonus of a given type works (see Combining Magical Effects). The same principle applies to penalties—a character taking two or more penalties of the same type applies only the worst one, although most penalties have no type and thus always stack. Bonuses without a type always stack, unless they are from the same source.
Both of the bonuses are coming from a menacing weapon property.

Assuming you're wielding the menacing weapon, have normal reach/threat, etc...
If you are flanking an orc with your buddy, you both get an extra +2 to the existing flanking bonus (+4 for flanking, total).
If your two buddies are flanking an orc, and you're adjacent to the orc but not flanking, your buddies get the extra +2 to the existing flanking bonus (They get +4 for flanking, total). You get nothing. ("Good day sir!")

Could it not also be seen that the source is also the item/weapon (with the property) itself?
For instance...what's the source of the caster level bonus from an Orange Prism Ioun stone? Seems like it's just the stone itself.
Also, it seems that in order for weapons to work usually, the weapon itself needs to be used in combat (ie, attacked with it. see: defending clarification). This could mean that the effect is emanating from the weapon itself.
Two casters casting the same spell that give untyped bonuses wouldn't stack?

Whatever the reasoning one uses, it is beyond clear that if this is FAQ'd the ruling will be no they don't stack. It's far too powerful to allow them to stack. So why waste time arguing or even seeking a FAQ on this one?
What's going to happen is an errata, because the source is clearly the weapon and not the weapon property. That won't stop this thread from going on endlessly so that it won't be used in PFS, but that will be the result in the longrun.
You heard it here first.
