Ran a search and found no threads about this, so:
I'm playing a nature oracle in my group's next campaign, and I plan on taking the following Mystery:
Friend to the Animals (Ex): Add all summon nature's ally spells to your spell list. You must still select these spells using your allotment of spells known. Animals within 30 feet of you receive a bonus on all saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier.
Now, I had a question about the "Animals within 30 feet of you receive a bonus on all saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier." If I am reading that correctly, that feature is always on, and there's no provision for excluding anything from it.
So it would buff my bonded mount and any other mounts in the party at all times, but it would also be buffing at all times any tyrannosaurs or rocs or grizzly bears that were trying to eat me. Am I reading that correctly?

That is how I would interpret and I'd probably role play the character as a pacifist when it comes to animals. Of course, the +4 or +5 saves you are giving the animals is going to make some nonviolent solutions (e.g. charm) difficult. I guess you should try to stay away from hostile animals.
I am not sure what the RAI is here though. The ability doesn't seem too powerful even if you can restrict it to animal allies. The other part of the ability isn't that powerful either since it only adds the spells to your class spell list and not your spells known.
So, basically, I am no help at all. i just felt bad because no one had responded yet. RAW is that it applies to all animals all the time. I don't think it would break anything to say it only applies to allies, unless the rest of your party consists of 2 druids, a beastmaster ranger, and an awakened badger paladin.
