What is the best way to create a Daywalker like Blade?

The Exchange

Howdy everyone.

Can any one have any ideal the best to create a race or class type to make a Daywalker (Blade).

My Stats are 2x18's, 2x17's, 16 and 15.

I thought of using a vamprie template but the template does not fit right.

I've never seen Blade or read the comics, but I know he's a half-vampire. With that in mind, I recommend the Dhampir race from Bestiary 2.

damper with good stats. *poof* daywalker

edit: add the feats to give him the sanguine bloodline if you want more of that tasty vampire flavor.

Blade is a vampire hunter, right? I'd say dhampir ranger - Str 18, Dex 18 (raise to 20), Con 17 (drop to 15), Int 16, Wis 17, Cha 15 (raise to 17). Two-weapon fighting style, favored enemy undead. Maybe urban ranger archetype.

I'd say inquisitor, personally.

Hellboy is an Inquisitor. Makes more sense for Blade to be a Ranger.

You'll note that I never said I had familiarity with the character!

There's a Vampire Hunter archetype for Inquisitors in Inner Sea Magic, so I based it off that.

Well Dhampir is the best way to do it core, but honestly I dont know that it is the best way to represent blade himself. Blade isn't light sensative, and he definately doesnt have a bellow average con. I think if you really want to represent a 'daywalker' it would be a level adjustment race because his strength, speed and skill are all explained in series as both through training and through his vamp heritage.

Dark Archive

3.5's libris mortis had a half vampire template. something like
Inherited Template that can be added to any Humanoid or Monstrous Humanoid.

Natural Armor +2
Attack

Slam 1d6+STR
Special Attacks

Gain 1 of the following abilities (DC is 10 + ½HD+Cha mod):

Blood Drain – If pinning an opponent, the vampire can make a bite attack that does 1d4 Constitution damage each round & the vampire gains 5 temporary hp each point. If you do not drain at least 5 Constitutions point of Blood each day from a living creature, you are Fatigued (FortNeg, DC 15 + number of days since you last drunk). If you still do not drink, you become Exhausted (FortNeg, DC 20 + number of days since you last drunk). 5 points of blood removes the Fatigue –or– reduces Exhaustion to Fatigue.

Charm Gaze – by making a gaze attack against a target within 30’ as a Standard Action, the target is affected by Charm Monster, using the Half-Vampire’s HD as Caster level. (WillNeg). If the target’s save is successful, he/she is immune to this Half-Vampire’s Charm Gaze for 24 hours.

or a summon ability

Maybe split the difference and multiclass?

I would make Big Red a Ranger/Gunslinger with Favored Enemy Evil Outsiders and the Skirmisher Template.

Blade Dampier Ranger Skirmisher with Favored Enemy Undead and Human.

just use the Dhampir race from the Advance Race Guide from Pathfinder, for the class use their Kinslayer, and also make him a Urban ranger with that, also give him favored enemy(Vampires)
their u go!!!

Blade dhampir slayer as he doesn't have all the nature stuff.

This thread radiates a strong Necromancy aura...

Scarab Sages

I'd run him as an undead bloodline bloodrager, personally.

Edit: just like this thread.

Give a fighter the vampiric bloodline.

Several bloodlines have fighter potential.

I think that the Dhampir Kinslayer archetype for Inquisitors may be just what you want:

Appalled and guilt-ridden by the horrific circumstances of her birth, a kinslayer dedicates herself to eradicating the very creatures whose blood flows within her veins. She spends her life hunting and slaying those vampiric monsters for whom humans have become prey.

Also there are Dhampir varaints with different stat arrays

Base stats aren't as important as the training and items gained through character development (i.e. Leveling). Since Blade is specific and unique, there is nothing wrong with a little DM fiat and taking liberties with the source material.

Class wise, I would say some sort of fighter rogue/ranger (urban).

Kinslayer inquisitor dhampir

Y'all are responding to a thread from 2011 just fyi :)

Did not notice that, I was just scrolling through and responding to things that piqued my interest.

While balance demands a daywalker have weaker powers than an undead vampire, I think half healing from cure spells goes a long way to evening it out.

BTW, necro hating is not official.
