This may just be chalked up to a low gold mod, however it seems that the gold reward for Frostfur was based on a Tier 3-4 scenario, rather than a tier 4-5 scenario (that it actually is). The gold given is 1300, but also says Tier 3-4 next to it. Normally I've seen Tier 4-5 scenarios give ~1700-1800 gold. Not a huge issue, but something that may want to be changed.

Thanks for the heads up, I am going to run this one on Sat. Where there any other bumps you ran into? I read another post where a cavilier was trying to change her dog mount to a pig, so I will look out for something along those lines also.

Sverirr Lightfoot is sometimes called Ragna Lightfoot in the body text of the encounter. It is unclear which is her real name.

It was a fun module to run. Keeping the goblins out of trouble was pretty challenging.

Hi everyone,

Did the typo's / errors listed above ever get addressed/clarified?

The two I am seeing are:

1) For continuity in story is it 1) Sverirr Lightfoot or 2) Ragna Lightfoot

2) It is a tier 1-5 adventure, but the gold is set for 1-2 and 3-4 on the Chronicle Sheet. But the items are listed as 1-2 and 4-5. So are the gold and items correct? Should this only be ran for Lv. 1-4 characters?

With the way the out of subtier gold works now, I think this mistake needs to be addressed - IE do I give level 3 characters playing this 1300 gp or 901?

***SPOILERS***

The Irrisen Guard Doll is only Caster Level 3, so it's inflict serious wounds ability does 3d8+3 damage (not 3d8+5, which is normally the minimum for ISW). Also don't forget that it's Tiny and has no reach, so it must enter the opponent's square (provoking as normal) before it can touch them. That encounter can be rough on first level characters.

The optional fight is rough at high tier because the goblins are so fragile. You might consider skipping it, but it really makes the PCs work to protect the little cretins. Definitely run the optional fight if any of the gobbos manage to swallow an alchemist's fire. Having one explode when attacked will be remembered by the players for quite a while.

Really play up the social aspect of the last fight. When the jig is up, have Enrik do his best to convince the players not to get involved. Make him seem reluctant to kill fellow humans. After all the "fun" it's good to remind the players that most people have good reason to hate and fear goblins. If you can make them question their commitment to protecting the goblins, you're doing it right. :)

I have only one thing to say.

Spoiler:
NOM NOM, THESE WHOLE ALCHEMIST FIRES SURE ARE TASTY! I SURE HOPE THIS DOESN'T SHATTER IN MY LITTLE GOBLIN BELLY.

It might well be an error, but it's not a huge one. 1300 gp is far from being the lowest gp award for subtier 4-5.

Follow the rules as normal, and use the average of the two subtier rewards on the chronicle sheet for OOS gold.
