I haven't digested all the feats yet (only read the table), but Dervish Dancer...

This one is real cool. Gives up teh ability to affect allies with their performances. But they can get some sort of mix between Pounce and Spring Attack, moving around getting full attacks, but needs to move 5' between each attack. Provokes AoOs. Plus moves up to 30 feet faster (enhancement bonus).

Which could be quite fun with Panther Style Feats and Improved Unarmed attacks.

Oooooh, this is just mean :P

Alluding to mysterious awesome things? Gah!

Panther Style (Combat, Style)

You can strike back at enemies who attack you when you move.
Prerequisites: Wis 13, Combat Ref lexes, Improved Unarmed Strike.
Benefit: While using this style, when an opponent makes an attack of opportunity against you for moving through a threatened square, you can spend a swift action to make a retaliatory unarmed strike attack against that opponent. Your attack is resolved after the triggering attack of opportunity.

Panther Claw (Combat)
You unleash a rapid series of blows on foes that attempt to
attack you when you move.
Prerequisites: Wis 15, Combat Ref lexes, Improved Unarmed Strike, Panther Style.
Benefit: While using Panther Style, you can spend a free action, instead of spending a swift action, to make a retaliatory unarmed strike. You can make a number of retaliatory unarmed strikes on your turn equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Panther Parry (Combat)
Your vicious strikes impair your foe’s ability to attack you
when you move.
Prerequisites: Wis 15, Combat Ref lexes, Improved
Unarmed Strike, Panther Claw, Panther Style.
Benefit: While using Panther Style, your retaliatory unarmed strikes are resolved before the triggering attacks. If your retaliatory unarmed strike deals damage to an opponent, that opponent takes a –2 penalty on attack and damage rolls with the triggering attack of opportunity.

Better?

Yes.

Improved Unarmed Attacks referring to another feat, or just to the monk ability?

Beast: gain Alter Self when using mutagen, also Beast Shape I and eventually Beast Shape 2 and finally BS 3. Can haz pounce? Yes. Yes can haz.

Rage: More powerful mutagen, but every round they take damage, they must make a Will save or lose intelligence. If int hits 0, they are comatose. Eventually their mutagen will give... +6 str, +6 Natural Armor, and +2 constitution. But also takes penalties to dex.

So is it only to strength? or can you get Dex bonuses and str penalties? con?

As much as I enjoy the previews...and wish I had the book myself...remember that the Paizo staff prefer people not to spoil too much of the books before the actual release date. Dang it all. >.>

Just the feat from the core rulebook. Since the Panther Style only allows you to make unarmed retribution attacks. (Levels of Monk optional.)

Body Bludgeon may be the greatest thing anyone ever wrote ever. Shakespeare weeps for the sheer awesome.

Matt: Str only.

There is no dervish dance-like feat, although Clerics can use Wisdom to-hit with their diety's favored weapon.

Cydeth and any Paizo employees: I am taking the same stance that Dark_Mistress took when Ultimate Magic came out, namely trying to not give full details when I can, but rather a rough idea. I'm aware I've not always done this so far...

If anyone from Paizo wishes me to tone it down, by all means say so :)

Yep. :D

My favorite parts so far: Tactician (fighter archetype). They get the Tactician cavalier ability and other good things. Such as more skill points per level. And a bonus to init. It's awesome.

Archaelogist: Trades bardic performances for a lot of rogue abilities. Also they can get lucky a few times per day, getting a big bonus. With the Whip Mastery feat line, you can make an awesome controller.

World Walker: Favored Terrain! Finally a way to get single-classed Nature Warden!

Cad: RAZOR-SHARP CHAIR LEG IS BACK! Also they specialize in light armor and Dirty Trick, as well as Disarm. Also gets around the fact that Dirty Trick is a standard action that can be removed with a move action in a cool way.

Falconer: This guy is *awesome*. You can do some really cool things.

Arcane Bomber: gives alchemist bombs. No discoveries.

Oh, HiPS is an advanced rogue talent now, btw. And rogues can take a feat to apply a critical feat on the second sneak attack in a round. They got a lot of love.

What's this? An archetype? Feat? General combat option?

Umbral: Rage Power.

Oh wow, the Litanies are really cool. Swift action no-save Confusion for antipaladin 4, Inquisitor 6.

Here's a fun spell: Siege of Trees

Also, there are a lot of telekinetic spells now. Some that do combat maneuvers...some that specifically throw your allies at enemies...

What does the spellslinger get? the idea of a gun wielding mage sounds awesome to me

End of "Wizards" anyone?

Can shoot spells through guns. Can expend spells to get bonuses. Gunsmith for free. Also, spells cast through the gun get the gun's enhancement bonus to-hit and DCs. It sounds like if you hit an enemy with your bullets, the spell originates from there? I'm not sure how that works exactly.

What's Gunsmith? Is it craft magical arms and armour for guns?

Holy crap that sounds broken!

EDIT: AND AWESOME!

To be clear:

Quote:

A spellslinger can cast any ranged touch attack, cone,

line, or ray spells through his arcane gun. When he casts
through the arcane gun, the gun’s enhancement bonus (if
any) is a bonus to the spell’s attack rolls or to the spell’s
saving throw DCs. Yet there are dangers inherent to this
method. If any of the spells’ attack rolls result in a natural
1 (a misfire), or a natural 20 is rolled on any saving throw
made against the spell by a target (an overload), the arcane
gun gains the broken condition. If the arcane gun already
has the broken condition, the gun explodes. When a gun
explodes, it lets loose a blast of force, or if the spell has
the acid, cold, electricity, or sonic descriptor, it deals that
type of energy damage instead.

There's more to that, and if you choose a Musket, your spells crit for x3 damage...but that's the meat of it.

I think Owen stephens may have written this one, since it basically is the Rune Staves and Wyrd Wands...anyways...

Umbral: Yes. They can repair guns. And make ammo and guns.

Very good at making their own armor / weapons, arcane bond with a weapon (need to use it for spellstrike /combat). Good at restoring HP of items on the fly. Diminished spellcasting.

Hey Cheapy Thanks for all the spoilers.
I was wondering

-How Different is the Ninja from the play test?

-What sort of Fighting Styles are in the book?

-What kind of Guns are in the book?

-How Does armor as DR look?

-Are there new combat maneuvers in the book?

-How to the Dueling rules look?

-And Lastly Have you seen a Rogue Talent or Feat that grents counter-attacks?

Again thanks for giving us these spoilers, it made my night.

now if only I can move time foreword to the 4th...

No armor, suffers ASF from it. Twilight Mithral Chainshirt it is! Diminished spellcasting. Can deal maximum damage on crits. Fighter training. Adds Int to a bunch of stuff, including Init and number of AoOs. Yada ya.

Yeah, the "Dimensional *" feats were one of my contributions. They were changed a bit in development but not a lot from what I can see.

...What happened to the Ninja/Rogue controversy? (EDIT: ninja`d.. hehe)
...Rage POWERS? ( besides this halfling throwing one...but isn`t that already allowed with the Hurling chain from APG?) ...New Class-Level Pre-Req Tiers? New Totems/developments of APG Totems?
...`Combat Styles` for all characters? I`ve seen Panther style mentioned, is that one of them? Are they mutually exclusive like Barbarian Totems?
...Flow Monk = ???
...Are a good number of the archetypes compatable with APG or what?

I don`t really like the Gunslinger Wizard getting weapon enhancement to DC... I mean, even if it`s vs. normal AC and not Touch... that just means you add Brilliant Energy to the ammo and cast GMW on the thing... The to-hit part applying to the spell is fine with me though...

EDIT: Anything for Cavalier allowing something like Houndmaster, i.e. non-Mount Animal Companions? Was the Falconer a Cavalier Archetype or another Class?

Haven't looked at new classes yet, sorry.

Lots of new styles based on animals (Dragon, genie, Puma, Kirin, etc).

Guns: Dagger pistol and Axe Musket. Buckler Pistol. Pistols like the historical Dragoons used (shotgun pistols!). Fire lances shoot javelins, but always go for touch-ac.

No new combat manuevers that I've seen, but some new weapon abilities that help old ones (like Grappling, distracting, etc).

Haven't looked at Dueling or Armor as DR, since they don't really interest me. But...Armor as DR looks fine (cursory glance), and duels...someone else can sum that up, sorry mate.

Looking over rogue stuff...holy shit. They can get Ninja Tricks (yay), a Familiar (!!!), HiPS, and can get an enemy to act as an ally for purposes of flanking. No rogue powers that give counter-attacks and...the feat table takes up 9 pages. I'll get back to you on counter-attacks. There is a feat that lets you get hit by an AoO for +4 to hit.

Heh, thanks! I hope to meet a lot of boardfolk there as well! Everything was a blur last year(my first time as well).

(yeah, as much as I may complain about the monk sometimes, I love the class)

Is the Familiar an extension of the Minor Magic line?
Feats for Grapple? Higher level defensive Feats vs. Magic/Scary Stuff??

EDIT: World Serpent = Druid-y Barbarian love?

Maybe, hopefully. I was hoping for any "holy barbarian"-type options and Jason Nelson mentioned celestial totems as something he turned in. Is World Serpent heavily good flavored?

And I guess it has Pre-Req: Orc Blood!!!! ;-D

Quandary wrote:

Or is it an Aladdin/Monkey reference?!

QAlchemist: Battle Scout is a good ambusher, getting bonuses from studying a certain area. Deep Walker is underground Rangers. Not the best. Falconer is *awesome* getting a cool pet (At level 1!). Trophy Hunter is all about the firearm, and can do touch AC for two range increments against favored enemies. Warden is a less combat oriented ranger, with some nifty bonuses. Wild stalkers can rage, but loses favored enemies, and gains rage powers.

Not commenting on Ninja, since I haven't read it (and you guys ask too many questions too fast :p)

Three new totems, dragon (can eventually fly), swarm, and World Serpent.

Combat Styles are primarily for unarmed strike users it looks like. They are feat chains.

Flowing Monk = battlefield control (Reposition and trip as immediate actions when certain things happen), flat-footing attacks, can make reflex saves for half damage against physical attacks, and can do a limited form of Spell Turning.

I haven't had a chance to see what are compatible with APG archetypes (see the ninja comment :p)

Cavalier: No hound-master, or anything like that really. Falconer is ranger archetype. The fighter archetype "Tactician" is the closest thing to a mount-less cavalier, other than the Musketeer.
