Wait... so after all the lies and bad rumors Paizo spreads about us goblins, now they are openingly selling our people to anyone with cash?!

It's disgusting. Someone should do something about it.

[Puts in a phone call to the Eagle Knights of Andoran]

Sounds like a captial idea. I have dibs on Anklebiter and Toenibbler, they should do nicely on my farm up north.

Why would arsonistically-inclined little psychopaths protest being distributed voluntarily to entirely NEW areas to murder dogs, set things on fire and general brigandage?

Liberty's Edge

Help help I'm being apprised!

Hey has anyone else been looking at the new Prometheus film set tocome out and as excitied about it as me?

Ridley Scott has done some incredible work in the past

Spoiler:
The Duellists, Alien, Blade Runner, Black Rain, Black Hawk Down are my favories from him -- apparently a lot of people also liked Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, Legend, and Hannibal, although I didn't care as much for those.
And Noomi Rapace is pretty cool.

I liked Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven as well as his Robin Hood.

I should check it out on matinee tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder!

Oh yes, myself and a player in my soon-to-begin Call of Cthulhu Horror on the Orient Express campaign are catching the first showing tomorrow that is in our immediate area.

IMAX 3-D Prometheus! \o/

The libertarian lurkers in the thread would enjoy turkish driving / traffic I think. Seat belts, turn signal, speed limits, lanes, all optional!

ha ha excellent I love that the LL's in the read. You make it seem like an infestation or something.

Mmmmm.... hookers and blow.

Well ... yeah ... if you're going to have a service-based economy, what's the best service to be good at ? wink wink, nudge nudge

Forgot to mention yesterday, what with the all the fun-timey arguing about Spinoza and welfare queens, the funny shiznit at the socialist meeting.

So, they give a presentation on the Greek and Egyptian elections. They're all talking about SYRIZA winning huge numbers and how exciting is that? and now, the workers' movement has to hold them accountable, yada yada yada.

I speak during the discussion round about how I'm not terribly excited about SYRIZA. I won't bore you with the details here, but I wind up with..."so, yeah, I don't know. Maybe you're right, but as a communist pessimist, I don't expect much."

Later, the beautiful socialist activist asks me, "Doodlebug, are you a Stalinist? I ask because you said you were a communist?"

And they've got Trotsky on the literature table!!!

[facepalm]

Speaking of beautiful socialists, I'm talking to the organizer dude afterwards about what membership entails and he's talking about the branch's members and says "There's me, Lisa, Katie, Ashley, Bonnie, Mary, Sylvia, Alison and Pam. Yeah, it's just me and a bunch of women." I look at him and say "I'll join."

My dear Trotsky Redbeard, you're going to be amused by this. I am copying /pasting from a status message I had on Facebook earlier this afternoon.

Spellcheck is just another ploy of the bourgeoisie.

Too soon to say.

I am very unhappy that one of the Religion threads got closed after it finally got interesting.

I don't know if this guy is technically a "Cultural Marxist" but he mentions Adorno in the first 30 seconds!

You know, I personally haven't vetted Prof. Zizek, and I like a bunch of what I heard (I didn't watch the whole thing), but, damn, professor, take a shower!

M'lord Dice says, if you have to qualify your Marxism by calling it "cultural", then it was never even real Marxism to begin with...

Ah, Dicey, I'm so glad you made it to the branch meeting. Did you get a chance to read that issue of The Galtic Worker? What did you think about the article on hierarchical modalities in the Goblin Kennels?

M'lord Dice says any modalities that reinforce a hierarchy are at his beck and call; then he gave me a hot can of chili poured into a bag a corn chips. That's good eating!

Plenty of pillows and mattresses in the goblin kennels, I'm not sure what the problem is...

I got to read the last copy of the Galtic Worker (GW) and I came across an article about counter revolutionaries! Low and behold JMD031 Was on the top of the list...Wierd I know.... Ive seen the name around and thought "why would he be on the list? Then not even a second later I remembered "never question the party" Exterminate Exterminate Exterminate.
Long live the revolution & Off with his head....TRAITOR

Dicey, my boy, I love you and all, but you're holding back the race.

The best countries in the world toady are Socialist -- of course, the worst countries today are also Socialist.

We know Capitalism is a failure, a morally broken system.

I think another step, a much bigger one this time, toward Socialism is an answer for America that can begin to really solve some of our problems -- though Socialism by itself won't completely fix our rapidly crumbling nation.

At least learn the lessons of failed governments: As long as every act of government requires the consent of the whole populace - they wont rebel tomorrow...except where they are fundamentalist nutters who want to be the only ones in power...them bastards are never happy unless they are making women wear a pillow case over their heads.

I'm probably the only one who cares, but :(

Been reading his columns since the mid-90s.

I'm sorry man.

Labor Day is nowhere near as cool as International Workers Day, but it's a paid day off and an excuse to go party like its 1912!

I need no Kevlar vest, for I have the the protection of the power of the proletariat!

Besides, it's the city's annual cultural heritage festival. How bad could it be?

[ducks for cover]

Idk. Judging from that city's current kill-happy culture, perhaps they should rename their festival Blood and Viscera. =P

It's labour day.

Didn't get shot.

Instead, worked a socialist literature table for the first time in 15 years. I talked to many strangers about how I hated Obama and thought that international proletarian socialist revolution was the only answer. There were quite a few people who agreed.

Does it break a socialism commandment if I try to win a a million dollars? If I win, I promise to pay indulgences in bags of potato chips.

No, it doesn't.

Gotta be in it to win it!

What if... Anklebiter is, himself, a stooge of the plutocracy?

This would be the perfect coverup!
