Liberty's Edge

I just found mine:

"Elephants are never legal for play."

From the Pathfinder Society "Additional Resources" page. Whole quote:

"Pathfinder Player Companion: Adventurer's Armory
Everything in this book is legal for play with the following two exceptions: a pseudodragon is not legal for purchase unless you're a wizard with the Improved Familiar feat and elephants are never legal for play."

My group has had a hay day with this one specific PFS exception. We always joke that a module will be released with an elephant in it and we'll all quit because its broken.

Or, we've all kicked around the idea of making a summoner and adding evolutions to make a large, quadruped with a gore attack and a "tentacle" and see if other players catch what we're doing.

Shadow Lodge

Tell that to the Realm of the [REDACTED] Lords.

Or are they legal for play?

Is there a way to get a Huge Eidolon?

"Is there a way to get a Huge Eidolon?"
Oddly, Enlarge Person cast on a large Eidolon.

Is an eidolon a "humanoid creature"? Obviously not if it is not humanoid shape. I doubt an outsider is a humanoid in any case.

One of the players in my PFS group will be sad. Her druid has an elephant animal companion. Her impression is that an elephant is illegal only for purchase.

Share Spells is a marvelous thing.

If I remember correctly summoner-eidolon link overrides that limitation allowing casting that spell on Eidolon.

Here it is:

Quote:

Share Spells (Ex): The summoner may cast a spell with a target of “you” on his eidolon (as a spell with a range of touch) instead of on himself. A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon's type (outsider). Spells cast in this way must come from the summoner spell list. This ability does not allow the eidolon to share abilities that are not spells, even if they function like spells.

Scarab Sages

How about this:

The referenced yanakeion psychopomp has been replaced by the nosoi psychopomp and the amzranei psychopomp has been replaced by the vanth psychopom. The vanth psychopomp belongs on the summon monster VI list for priests of Pharasma.

Where else would a word like "psychopomp" appear?

Edit: That was a rhetorical question. I shudder to think of possible answers.

I stand corrected.

I like it, but it is more fun as an out of context quote if you limit it to the first sentence.

I do recall playing a PFS module with an elephant in it. I cannot, however, for the life of me remember which one it is.

At a crazy person graduation maybe?
"listen they are playing psychopomp and circumstance"

BTW you can get a huge eidolon through evolutions:

Large (Ex): An eidolon grows in size, becoming Large. The eidolon gains a +8 bonus to Strength, a +4 bonus to Constitution, and a +2 bonus to its natural armor. It takes a –2 penalty to its Dexterity. This size change also gives the creature a –1 size penalty to its AC and on attack rolls, a +1 bonus to its CMB and CMD, a –2 penalty on Fly skill checks, and a –4 penalty on Stealth skill checks. If the eidolon has the biped base form, it also gains 10-foot reach. Any reach evolutions the eidolon possesses are added to this total. The eidolon must be Medium to take this evolution. The summoner must be at least 8th level before selecting this evolution.

If 6 additional evolution points are spent, the eidolon instead becomes Huge. The eidolon gains a +16 bonus to Strength, a +8 bonus to Constitution, and a +5 bonus to its natural armor. It takes a –4 penalty to its Dexterity. This size change also give the creature a –2 size penalty to its AC and attack rolls, a +2 bonus to its CMB and CMD, 10-foot reach, a –4 penalty on Fly skill checks, and a –8 penalty on Stealth skill checks. If the eidolon has the biped base form, its reach increases to 15 feet (10 feet for all other base forms). Any reach evolutions the eidolon possesses are added to this total. These bonuses and penalties replace, and do not stack with, those gained from becoming Large. The summoner must be at least 13th level before selecting this option.

The ability increase evolution costs twice as much (4 evolution points) when adding to the Strength or Constitution scores of a Large or Huge eidolon.

Add in the enlarge person for a very very very big eidolon :D

It's pretty standard in scholarly secondary sources for mythology to see something like "DeityX played the role of psychopomp" so not too shudderworthy at all, actually.
