I have been hearing conflicting information about this series, so I figured I would ask here for a definitive answer.
This intro series is a 3 part intro into PFS for brand new characters. Can this series be played by multiple characters and get credit for them? Can you also do the same and take GM credit multiple times for this series?

For players, yes. I know that is the case. Create a new level 1 and play it, finish all 3 parts and welcome to level 2.
For GMs, unsure. I assume that is the case, but don't have anything specific I can point at to back me up. *points at Mark Moreland*

In all cases so far where a 1st level only Scenario/Module can be replayed over and over for credit it is the same case for GMs.
That said, I have not heard anything yet if these can be replayed more then once for credit.

Oh I know. My local PFS schedules modules ahead of time using Warhorn. So we already have multiple instances of the path scheduled after August ;)

I'm pretty sure Mark said that they would be but couldn't point you to a specific link.

I think it was mentioned in one of the recent podcast interviews

So, does Mark or anyone have good info on this? With the modules releasing in about a week, and the store I play at having multiple tables of them being played over the following weeks, I'd really like to know if it can be played multiple times as well as run multiple times.
Since you only have a week to wait I'll say "wait it out". Experience has shown that when products come out, they are ready to go with the full rules.
It'll be for 1st levels only.
What else do you need really ??? :P

I have all 3 in my downloads, looking at them to see if they mention it in the scenario.
I will say like the new Chronicle Sheet layout for season 3.

Question to Dragnmoon: What do you think of the intro scenarios so far? How do they compare to regular scenarios? (Anyone else with access to them can answer).
For example:
- Easy vs hard
- Roleplay vs combat
- Short vs long
- Faction missions
- Teaching PFS
- Good for new players to PFS
- Fun for veteran players of PFS
- Replayability
- Interesting
- Uniqueness

Dragnmoon should be preparing to run said scenario at GenCon instead of reviewing it ;-). Everyone will get to see them, for free, in a week's time.
No worries, I was not planning on to anyway... was too much work.. ;)

Just scanned all three new mods - I *love* them! Great introductions to factions old and new, great tone of "not every NPC is meant to be killed", overt reasons for players to pay attention to setting and background, great variety of environments and opponents... well done all around. If this is what we can expect from Season 3 in general, I am even more excited!
Now, I just need to convince the vets in my group (who have just reached Tier 5-9) to start brand new characters. I'll also be running these at JimCon in November as a recruitment program for our Lodge.
Thanks for the great work!

"Hey, drop these things off and take a look around."
"Okay, sure."
~time passes~
"So, how'd it go?"
"Um, everyone's dead and the place burned down."
*sigh*
Seriously, though...there's a chance things can physical, but that's not the main reason. This encounter provides a good chance for use of social skills, so those needed to be represented. Also, you might need to know her saves, so that needed to be represented. Sure you could shorten some of that into a line or two, but then you'd have people calling for the full stat block, which is what we did. Gotta cover all the bases because player's do the darnedest things. :)

A question I need an answer for within 12 hours.
I could be running said scenario this weekend, but Season 3 guide isn't out yet. Can I run it or not?
Lilith said yes.
Also, some spoilerage:
Also Deandre Dulay casts Protection from Good prior to combat, and during combat shield of faith. The scenario states the gang has thought about the tactics, and it should be clear to the cleric that casting both shield of faith and prot from good isn't most likely the smartest option. Since they've been following the pathfinders throughout the scenario I'd deduct that Deandre will use either of these spells, depending on how the handled the matters (brutal force would indicate more in the line of Neutral alignment (shield of faith), while peaceful actions point to Good (protection from good).
Oh, and even before running this I can say Ledford will cause havoc. Halfling barbarians are exceptionally effective, brutal killers.

Heh, good luck forcibly taking something from a character in my game, especially in a town setting. We'll see how things go when the town guard shows up and they whistle for more town guards.
In any case, I'd hate to have to ban a 1st scenario PC from PFS for slaughtering an 80 year old lady in front of a group of children. But Pathfinders aren't your moral police force - save those antics for a home campaign.
/If anything, I would've made her into a 20th level wizard that just peaces out of there ASAP at the sign of first trouble.
//PCs would have never known the difference.

My players just finished this as their first PFS game.
Having a cleric of Sarenrae in the part, the first stop was the Silver Crusade and auntie Baltwin's home. With some good diplomacy rolls, they convinced her to give a (very narrow) guided tour of the home. The party ranger then stealthed away from the tour group and unearthed bottles of medicine ready for sale. Pumping the kids for information out of her sight proved less successful, and they were unable to uncover her final dirty secret.
Next was the pelican warehouse. Finding the front door locked (and failing to find the key), the players launched a search by boat, discovering the hole in the floor. Discovering the crate perched over the hole, they contrived to lasso it and pull it into the boat before proceeding, accidentally completing the mission without disturbing the dire rats.
Next was the Paracountess' estate, where much furniture was damaged by throwing an alchemist's fire indoors. (Nobody had knowledge: planes to realize devils were immune to fire.)
At Salhar's vault, the PCS were canny enough to test the clear liquid before deciding to retrieve the key with mage hand. Not so the wicker basket, but the cleric's armor protected her. The cleric was then turned blue by final trap.
The ambush was swift and brutal. Larkin caught the cleric flat-footed, then Ledford knocked the ranger down to 0 in a single hit. Deandre was the last enemy left standing, and resorted to channeling negative energy. Max damage put the cleric and ranger in the negatives before the fighter could finish Deandre off.
All in all, an excellent introduction to PFS, which rewards creative players well.

Can you give details about how the maps worked out?

I goofed on that
It worked out well, so that's a goof I might decide to keep for future runs of the scenario.

I'm prepping this for a newbie group to play in 8 days time (to be followed by the other two in the series)... I noticed that the area maps do not (in the main) use available flip-maps or map packs. For those maps, would it be possible to get these (w/o any GM info of course!) as a download at high resolution so I can print them to scale to play on? The cartographers have gone to great lengths to produce nicely detailed colored maps and it would be a shame if only the GM sees them!
You *can*, of course, select the maps from the PDF and then paste into a paint program then scale up and print... but the resolution sucks and this is a painful and very time consuming process!

If we have players that make the character creation step, I suppose they need to choose an faction trait (highly recommended), even, I have the feeling that they should choose after the three-part modules.
I know that the description in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play and the Pathfinder Society Field Guide is available for the players to make their choice.

Mark Moreland says here that it's OK to leave the trait 'slot' open until after the First Steps scenarios, so that the trait can be chosen at the same time as the faction.

So, I'm preparing to run Intro 1 online tomorrow, and I was preparing to pull the pictures of the faction heads out of the PDF to show to my players when they meet, them, but ran into the problem that the Silver Crusade's Ollysta Zadrian doesn't have a picture in the PDF. Does a picture exist for her anywhere?
Also, for those of you who have run the module before, anything I should watch out for?

There's a picture of her in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide.

I've played through all three modules for First Steps and enjoyed it immensely. I'm pretty buzzed about GMing it for new players, especially as it stacks for new characters.
I agree that the map was too narrow for a proper fight at the end of the first module. I found this to be a chaotic and challenging battle, my group only made it through by the skin of our teeth by some heroic fighting from our halfling ranger.
I do think new PFS players will find it hard to take Cheliax seriously after all the bedroom shenanigans in the Paracountess's chambers, but I'm told every other Chelish encounter represents them in the same way. I guess I just went from a character possibly concerned about Cheliax's power to a hero that sees Cheliax as a sort of strange fetishy cabaret scheme on a grand scale. There seemed to be a lot of organisations that were not living up to the mystique they'd built up for themselves, the Pathfinders included.
We had a hero who dipped his hand in the jar of acid even AFTER we'd ascertained the liquid was acid. And no, he wasn't even a barbarian. :shakes head:
And finally, my Gunslinger's itchy trigger finger ended up seeing her shoot the ghoul ex-adventurer outside the Dungeon before she could even start a conversation. Curse you high initiative!
All in all, great stuff!

I was wondering how did you report the fame/prestige from those scenario. From what i'm reading, the players are supposed to get their fame/prestige from all previous scenarios played at the end of the third scenario, so do I report 0 prestige for scenario 1 & 2 and then 6 prestige for scenario 3??
I believe you report it as the grand lodge faction for now. They were working on changing the coding for these scenarios. (I could be wrong, but that's how mine from GenCon were reported)

Also, some spoilerage:
Your prediction came true last weekend. And it was glorious.
Ledford wanted to get at the Oracle up on the saddle, but he was too small, which just enraged him further. The Pathfinder fighter and rogue were rolling on the floor groaning in agony at negative HP. Ledford took the warhorse down to zero. The frightened warhorse responded by bringing it's enormous hooves down on the little warrior's head and crushing him against the cobblestones. Then the Warhorse went to negs and collapsed on Ledford, crushing his tiny body further.
The last the PCs saw of Ledford's mighty rage was a tiny hand grasping out from underneath the unconscious warhorse that was reaching for his small greataxe. He nearly had it within his grasp when his hand shook horribly then went limp.
I'll see you in Valhalla, Ledford.
