Yeah, kind of with the folks that are 'cows are friends, not food' crew here.

If they're an Animal companion, it's like one's killing a part of one's self.

On the other hand, if they die horribly in battle and you have limited resources, I could see no greater honor than taking part of them into one's self, that they might continue to exist in some form...


It's like asking a Paladin to consume his or her Summoned Mount.

A paladin's mount is probably tough in order to carry around a heavily armored holy warrior. And also, the body might be required to 'make good' on getting another one.

Though, of course, in PFS it could get really weird really quick given what happens at the end of a scenario if one's Companion Entity's conditions are not cleared...
