No that's either Skynet, Master Control Program (MCP), or Morganna Mode Gone I believe.

I could be wrong.

I looked at as having three possibilities:

1) Cosmo realizes that admitting he is not omniscient (whether true or not) may cause his enemies to underestimate him.

2) Cosmo realizes that being the go-to person for answers carries significant drawbacks: people keep pestering you.

3) Cosmo realizes that being the go-to person for answers often gets one volunteered for extra (usually unwanted) work. Everyone wants the best and brightest when the crunchtime comes; the mediocre and moderately-intelligent are usually ignored.

To my parents, Ayn Rand and God.

So, you're arguing for the oxford comma on the basis that people no longer understand the correct use of a colon?

To my parents, Ayn Rand and God is clearly a list.

If it were otherwise the writer would have written: To my parents: Ayn Rand and God.

We use colons to clarify rather than commas.
