To return to the original post...

We run game out of our place in Oakville, and we're looking for a new player. If there is anyone over in the western GTA who is looking for game, give me a shout.

The original post was about an ongoing Pathfinder Society game-night in Toronto. As the thread has clarified, there was one such beast that was trying to get going on a regular basis at HairyTNorth, without success so far in terms of a regular schedule.

We now have the OP having committed to organizing PFS every Thursday at 6 p.m. at Dueling Grounds starting in September, the OP attended at the inaugural new weekly PFS game night at 6 p.m. at 401 Games every Tuesday -- and the OP has set up a new webpage that tells players in Toronto where the next local PFS game is and provides an electronic signup facility for those players so we don't have to use the 4E centric Warhorn. The new Ontario PFS page is located at ontariopathfinders.com

I'd say we stuck to (and executed upon) the topic of Feegle's Original Post quite nicely, overall. Seems to me, that if all topics like this had such a positive resolution in the PFS Grand Lodge, there would be a lot more happy Venture-Captains and Society players across North America :)

So when can we see at one of our new PFS game nights? :)

Yup, I got my answer. Which is not to say that you can't have your answer too. :)

If your game is Public (I can't quite tell from your original post) you're welcome to list it on the site. Register and send me a message and I'll set you up.

In the meantime, I can look into setting up a LFG/LFP page on the site. No promises, but possible.

Just a quick thread bump, to remind everyone about tomorrow night's game. :)

Just a gentle reminder...

Tuesday Night PFS@401 Games resumes on Tuesday August 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

On the docket for the 16th of August are:

The Devil We Know Part III: Crypt of Fools; and
First Steps Part II: To Delve the Dungeon Deep

Crypt of Fools is a more balanced and traditional PFS scenario which hits most of the high notes and propels the plot arc in the Devil We Know series towards its conclusion. I'm looking forward to running this one.

To Delve the Dungeon Deep is an interesting dungeon crawl which makes use of a special flip-mat for almost the entire adventure which helps to speed along play while making the visual of the game all the more interesting.

As always, we ask that you confirm your expected attendance at www.ontariopathfinders.com.

We look forward to seeing you Tuesday night at 401 games, 3d floor.

The fact that Neil was only named for Ontario perhaps indicates that there are not millions of Pathfinders in the rest of Canada... although we're building a decent following here in Winnipeg, and I think Edmonton is growing as well. He's too far away for me to do much trembling (yet). :)

Indeed, Edmonton is growing well. We are organizing and I am actively recuiting. We have currently 23 regular members of our little group and growing. I admit, it's not millions, but we're getting there. :-)

Yup... I'm aware of PFS groups in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. There used to be a very active group in Montreal, but I'm not sure if they are still going.

I hope that all of you know that you can contact me (or any Venture-Captain) with any questions, or for other help with your games, regardless of whether or not you are part of my "region". All of our contact info is in the Guide to Org Play.

Thanks, Neil! Will do that.

In Winnipeg, we've been flirting with a third table on a regular basis for our weekly session. Have 4 regular GMs and several alternates, as well as a co-coordinator and a web guy. We have had close to 30 players come through, although the core seems to be about 15 regulars that come almost every week. Some of the others dropped because the store we play at is at the other end of town from them. I haven't yet had time to start running sessions at another store to pick up those folks again.

I just wanted to thank Steel_Wind for all of his hard work at 401 Games. I'm very pleased with the consistent turnout we get there on a weekley basis, and glad that folks are stepping up to help with the GM duties. Congrats on getting that 1st star, Rob!!

I hope that we will get a similar response for Feegle's games at Duelling Grounds, starting Thursday September 1st! I'm looking forward to attending as a player or GM, depending on the turnout.

A little further afield, we have Phantasm coming up on September 24th in Peterborough, and HammerCon in The Hammer (Hamilton) on November 4th.

More announcements soon!

Actually, I had my first Star without 401; at least, I should have. The problem is, I have four sessions from Gencon 2010 and another from Gencon 2011 are NOT in my game session list. I've written Liz Courts about it, but so far; no resolution.

Soon, I think I'll need to send over my boys (whose names end in vowels) to have a little chat with our Great Masters.

In the meanwhile, here I am looking like a frikkin noob.

Throw 20 of those on the floor and turn out the lights -- that's how they work best.

Literally, 1d4 of damage, each! Vicious caltrops!

Oops, I didn't realise that Tuesday's session at 401 Games is overbooked. You can remove me from the reservation list, then. (That would be a useful feature to add to the web site, I think.)

It's not overbooked. We are trying to grow the event, after all, so that we are running four tables of PFS at 401. Don't bail on that account :)

Once we get 25 players showing up? Then we'll be jumping on reservations spaces and prioritizing and so forth. For now? We're good.

Nice website Lamplighter. We currently use the Obsidian Portal for ours. Although I know it's not the perfect medium, it works for us for now.

We are growing at a pretty good pace. I have been actively recruiting now for some time. We are now 30 members strong and growing. I currently have set up one of our members to run a weekly (Monday night) PFS session which is doing very well. We had two tables running this week. We also run a once a month Gameday, as well as Special Event Gamedays. Looks like we are going to have to plan on 3 tables at each session (2 sessions per day). Our GM base is growing and I am pretty excited about where we are going.

If anyone from the other areas are ever in town, please come and check us out.
