Bull Rush and target placement

Rules Questions

In the PSRD it states that "A bull rush attempts to push an opponent straight back without doing any harm."

If I am successful am I allowed to push the target away from me but at a diagonal or must it be in a straight line directly from me?

In the diagram I am X and my target is O. Can I move my target to only square A or could I also push the target to either of squares B if I was to choose to?

Only "A", AFAIK.

Pushing your opponent "straight back" would encompass any of lines A, B, or (A-)C.

You would not be allowed to push him along line D, below.
