"Refilling" of mundane arrows

I was at a convention a week ago and a player mentioned that arrow quivers and other mundane gear "refills" after each mod. I'm guessing that he's carrying this concept over from his time with Living Greyhawk since I couldn't find anything to support this in the PFS rules document, but I wanted to ask here to be sure.

Just wanted to know how detailed a ranger has to track all his ammo ;)

Thanks!

There is no ruling on expendable mundane items, so officially, arrows are expected to be tracked/refilled following the normal purchasing rules.

However, I would say that in most cases, the GM's are not auditing food/water/arrows/etc on chronicles. The cost of those items is so small, it is not a major concern. Of course, you do run the risk of running out in-game. And a GM is welcome to require official re-purchasing if the scenario demands it.

Since it is a a minor expense, and to be sure there are no issues, I would suggest just buying another quiver full every scenario or two. A few gp is not too much to expect to ensure there are no issues when/if an audit occurs. Do we really need to create an "upkeep" cost per scenario? That's just additional record keeping and doesn't really impact play in an OP format.

What frustrates me is when I see a high-level character with a wand of Cure Light Wounds that was purchased at 1st level but no charges have been expended (at least not officially). Is it possible, sure, but not probable. The same thing can be said for the potion of CLW the PC has been carrying around for ten levels.

Things like that draw a lot of suspicion towards the character.

In our local group we have a Zen archer. Since he can go thru 40 or more arrows in a senario, he keeps track and buys 20 or 40 depending on how many he went thru.
