Really happy to see this offer available here at Paizo.

Mind Over Body is out, and our Psychokinetic / Ranged Combat release should be out this month (June).

We're hoping to have the whole book done by September, but we'll see how things progress. We still have to go through all phases of testing for our 6th class, redesign our Tactician class, get a second round of Beta testing on the Exemplar, get redesign of the Aegis posted, as well as finish up all the additional Advanced material - 0th level talents, advanced psionic race / class options, etc.

Still, this has been an amazingly fun book to work on. :)

Thanks for reminding me. Snagged.

Dreamscarred Press

It looks like the second release will be out next week.

We're trying to make sure we do the content right, not fast, and some additional playtesting has been going on for material, as well as getting all the necessary artwork done. :)

Good news indeed Jeremy my friend.

I can't remember though... I know it's a PDF now... will it also be a softcover when complete?

That's the plan.

We're not taking preorders for the book yet until we've figured out what the page count is. Just in finishing up the Ranged release, we've added about 5 pages... with 4 more releases to go, and one of them containing all the fun stuff like Advanced Race options, Psionic Talents, and the like... The page count could be in any sort of range, and that directly impacts how much the printed book costs. The PDF, on the other hand, we KNOW will be $9.95 regardless of size ;)

Cool.

Good to know. :)

Any idea how close we are to the second release?

At this point:

Graphics are done
Cover is done
Layout is about 90% done
Content is mostly just waiting for me to double-check it to all the playtest feedback and make sure I didn't miss anything.

It's a matter of me getting about 3-4 hours at the computer uninterrupted and my newborn has been limiting me to mostly 15-20 minute intervals.

Print/PDF bundles in the works?

At some point, yes, but that likely won't be available for about six months, as we don't know what the final page count will be.

Anything new for the Elan?

We're working on advanced favored class options for all the psionic races / classes, as well as looking into alternate racial features for all the psionic races.

Outside of that, we'll have to see if anything fits, otherwise it may make more sense in the upcoming Pathfinder revision for the Third Dawn Campaign Setting.

The newest update seems to be missing all the psychometabolism material.

Each release is self contained. Only once all six are out will they all be compiled.

So I'm trying to understand from the description and the comments above: is Mind Over Body included in this PDF? Its unclear, especially with them being sold seperately.

Hrm, this should contain everything, but it looks like it only contains the most recent. I'll upload a new file and see if we can get that sorted out.

This product should get everything in the Psionics Expanded line.

I re-downloaded the file and it now has both parts (as seperate pdfs, as jeremy said.)

Dreamscarred Press

The download has been fixed (I just downloaded it to verify).

Sorry for any confusion!

Will there be options for those of us who bought the PDF not realizing there was going to be a print version, ie - a discount on the print if you bought the PDF before the bundle was available?

If at all possible, yes.

We've been able to do something like that in the past.

I was wonder...if I buy this and later on more supplements are added to it will I have to re-buy the thing to get those or can I just re-download it and the new stuff will be added in? This question might have already been answered and I may have just skipped over it.

You will be notified of updates to the product when it happens—there is no need to buy it again.

Well I bought the pdf version, and I must say I've always liked psionics even though most of the gm's I've played under did not.

I'm playing in a gestalt pathfinder game using psion/vitalist. Having a Vitalist in a party is an awesome addition. Be he the cohort, or in my case the second half of your class. My rendition of Vitalist is simple. He's like BASF, he doesn't make the healing you pass out, he makes that healing better. A cleric using channel energy and then using the network to dole out that healing on an as needed basis is just completely awesome. Having the network descriptor and being able to apply buffs via multiple people is equally as awesome.

If my GM didn't take the step of combining pps into a pool to use, I'd almost say that class is just too awesome to be used or allowed.

Well the gestalt helps a lot with that. Not that the vitalist isn't a good class or anything, but gestalt changes up the rules big time.

Bears repeating ;)

Gestalt changes the game in some pretty interesting ways.

Snicker. I know, I know.

Still, upon discovering the gestalt rules, all I could think of was ... fighter/mage/thief, fighter/mage/cleric, illusionist/thief ... you get the idea. And without the anoying racial restrictions!

Sigh...

I just bought the Psionics Expanded 'subscription' to use in an adapted Dark Sun game and I love it. The vitalist is like nothing I've ever seen and I can't wait to give it a shot in-game.

I did notice that a few vitalist powers were missing descriptions/mechanics:

Delay Poison
Secure Life
Empathic Adaptation
Guarded Sleep

Are the specifics for these powers listed in an errata file or elsewhere on the message boards (here or on Dreamscarred)? I found the official errata thread on Dreamscarred's boards, but it doesn't mention any of these powers. I apologize if this has been brought up elsewhere but I was not able to track it down.

Thanks for the help!

Delay Poison is a typo and is Resist Toxin.

Secure Life was a power in 3.5, but was turned into one of the talents of the Vitalist, since a 2nd level power to automatically stabilize is pretty weak. Looks like it simply wasn't removed from the power list.

Looks like the other two were simply missed. I'll see about getting them put on the errata thread until we do a document update. For now, you can access the 3.5 version of the powers on the DSP SRD.

Empathic Adaptation
Guarded Sleep

Thanks for pointing those out and glad you like the Vitalist! The Aegis should be coming out in a week or two. :)

Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I'll use the 3.5 versions of the two missed powers until everything is updated. Keep up the good work!

Psionics Expanded: Unlimited Possibilities should be out in September. This release has the Aegis, as well as rules for 0-level powers (talents), alternate racial traits, alternate favored class options, new psion advanced disciplines, new soulknife archetypes, new feats, and much more. It is currently 40 pages and growing.

Psionics Expanded: Unlimited Possibilities should be made available today. Anybody who purchased this work-in-progress subscription should get it added to their downloads automatically.

I bought it today for unrelated reasons, and was pleasantly surprised to find *three* pdfs lurking in the zip folder. (The item description still listed only two.)

I preordered it through the Dreamscarred site, is it available there yet? Can't seem to find it.

Not yet - I try to coordinate the release between sites. Apparently, the subscription here updates before the solo product goes live... so I'll see about getting it posted at the Dreamscarred site in the next few minutes.

Of the three parts currently released?

No.

But psionic options for non-psionic classes are something we're working on. In no particular order: options for the fighter, summoner, alchemist, monk, sorcerer, barbarian, rogue.

How many parts is this series scheduled to have before the compilation?

6.

so we're roughly halfway.

The next release is Master the Battle, which has the Exemplar base class, even more options for the psychic warrior and soulknife, as well as a bunch of feats / powers / items.

The fifth release looks like it's going to be our Tactics release, which currently has the Tactician base class, a bunch of new powers, and likely some additional options for the core psionic classes.

The last release will be the stealth-oriented release, most of which has only been conceptualized and not written yet.

Oh, please, please give the Pathfinder treatment to the Psychic Rogue. The Fighter, Monk, and Barbarian could all use it, too.

At least 2 more base classes? This is turning out to be quite the awesome pre-order :D

If you're going to compile PU and PE into one big book, are you doing it chapter by chapter or are you compiling the heck out of it? One big chapter with races (including alternate class features and favoured class options) one chapter with all 10 or so base classes (with all options) followed by all the archetypes, a chapyou get the idea.

Short answer: we don't know yet. :)

We need to finish Psionics Expanded before we decide how we want to approach combining the two books.

Well, here's my $.02

I've got PU in softcover. I'm going to buy PE in softcover.

From there, future expenditures predicate on utility and value.

If the two books are merged such that races are interlaced, classes are interlaced, powers are interlaced, and the power lists are unified... that has significant utility. That's a book I could see shelling out cash for, despite having every single word already on my bookshelf.

If the two don't get merged, odds of me spending the money are exceedingly slim.

So there's my feedback as one lonely consumer. It doesn't matter how long it takes to merge the two, but I won't (re)buy simply concatenated books.
