I'll be going laptop-style too. Tried to bring the books, but it would have been an entire extra suitcase. Couldn't justify spending (at least) $70 round trip, when I have them all in pdf form. I plan on having windows open to each pdf I might need and then putting lappy into sleep mode until I need to reference something.

Same here. I'm bringing my Asus eee Pad tablet, but I'm also considering bringing my laptop for backup. In either case, I'd rather have those two things than my books (the laptop is smaller than the core rulebook and the tablet is smaller still than that). The laptop has 15 hours of battery life, the tablet has 9. I think I'll be okay.

I'll be going the total laptop route as well, apart from print-outs of character sheets and hand outs and a couple flip-mats. While I'm perfectly capable of lugging books, I'm flying instead of driving, and I'm not going to pay the baggage fee.
I'm thinking it would be wise to pack a power strip, however.
