Taco's rule

Me too. ^_^

Tacos are good....

Scarab Sages

Meh.

Living in California and Southwest for a few years has totally ruined me on tacos. I miss all the mom & pop places like Papa Chano's in Monterey or Delicious Mexican Eatery in El Paso.

I mean, c'mon, there are a plethora of Americans of Mexican descent around here, can't one of y'all open up a Mexican eatery of decent quality? All we get is a tawdry imitation of an actual Southwestern restaurant. Ick.

At least we have the kick ass Brazilian Grill here. And clam chowdah. Gotta love fresh New England chowdah.....

My trip to Boston back in July '07 ruined clam chowdah for me. Nothing here in Ohio compares to what I ate while there. Can't even stomach it, frankly.

I've boycotted tacos all my life, and despite their persistence at times I have kept the boycott up, and instead of tacos I have lots of sausages in my diet.

*Jedi hand wave* Bring me a taco.

Heh-heh-heh, tacos rule!

There was something *fishy* about that statement.

Throw one on the curb and stomp it for me, would you? :)

Liberty's Edge

"Curb Stomping Tacos" would be a good name for a band.

I am not even going, we can do it next year if we both make it.

Actually, I'm tempted to go to taco bell right now and purchase a taco, throw it on the ground, and stomp on it.

I don't know; after Jeremy's post, that mental image makes me uncomfortable.

Do you ever make it up to Boston? Ole' Mexico in Cambridge is very good Mexican food. Ana's Taqueria for just fast taco's and burrito's is pretty good as well.

Nah, not all that often, unless travelling to Childrens' Hospital, which is hardly a 'fun' trip. It's two hours either way with traffic, and quite frankly, Boston is a horrible city to drive in. As Dave Barry once said cogently: Boston drivers break not only the laws of the road, but the laws of physics.

Cape Cod has a million restaurants, but our Mexican-fu is quite weak.

If you choke so easily on coffee, then I dissuade you from trying sausages.

Ah yes it is certainly a high skill check to be able to drive as well as navigate in Boston. We purposely change the street signs around to screw with the tourists ;)

If you go to children's hospital on the longwood near Fenwaythat's a tough area as far as food. But all of the good museums are close to there. MFA and Isabella Gardner Museum though there is a good Thai place near there. Not sure what sort of food you enjoy but there are a few places out on Huntington moving towards Copley. I would suggest walking if it is a nice a day or traveling around via the T rather than trying to drive from place to place. When I go into town and I do it alot I park and then walk around or T it. Saves on parking and the head ache from the Ma$! H+@*s ;) As we affectionately call ourselves. Once you get used to it though Boston has alot to offer and you may find it better than you thought.

Though I gather if you are going up to Boston for Children's Hospital it is not a fun experience to begin with. I hope that the situation is getting better and pray for a good outcome for you and your family. There is a alos a decent gaming store in Cambridge called Pandemonium Books over in Cambridge they have gaming sessions on a daily basis, might be worth a look if you are up there already? Anyways thought I might be able to help out some.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Me and the missus like doing the T thing, but life's been hectic lately. If I do find some time to hit Cambridge I'll check out Pandemonium, it sounds cool.
