In my other thread I discussed how for a local gamestore I'm going to be running a dungeon crawl for their Free RPG Day event. Essentially i want to run something action horror oriented for a party of 4th level characters. My event is 4 hours long, and I've got the majority of the outline and mapping done. I'm just looking to make my challenges to be in the theme of it all.
I've been tossing around the ideas of a vampiric eldrict night as the FBBEG, but am still torn on a couple of lesser ones. The mummy, a flesh golem, werewolf, and medusa come to mind.
Thoughts?

If it's going to be CR5, you'll have to dial some of those guys back a bit. There are some templates in the Bestiary and elsewhere that may help with that a bit, as well as alternate versions of these creatures.
In the case of Medusa, this might be a suitable replacement. ;)
Also, clock tower room with moving/rotating map pieces to represent the gears!

You should toss ins some unkillable red skeletons too, for good measure :)
Just have a skeleton that puts itself back together 1d4 rounds after being destroyed, but only patrols a small area.
PRD:
Bloody Skeleton
A bloody skeleton is coated in a slick layer of blood and gore infused with negative energy. This gore allows the skeleton to reform and heal itself. In addition to the changes for the skeleton template, make the following adjustments to the base creature.
Challenge Rating: As a normal skeleton + 1.
Fast Healing: A bloody skeleton has fast healing equal to 1 per 2 Hit Dice it possesses (minimum 1).
Saves: A bloody skeleton gains channel resistance +4.
Abilities: A bloody skeleton's Charisma is 14.
Special Qualities: A bloody skeleton gains the deathless special quality.
Deathless (Su): A bloody skeleton is destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points, but it returns to unlife 1 hour later at 1 hit point, allowing its fast healing thereafter to resume healing it. A bloody skeleton can be permanently destroyed if it is destroyed by positive energy, if it is reduced to 0 hit points in the area of a bless or hallow spell, or if its remains are sprinkled with a vial of holy water.
