Hey Merisiel. I've heard a bit about your skill in Stealth.

You wouldn't happen to have some Ninja in you, would you?

What about that Dino-spirit you occationally talk about?

Assuming you get tired of the oceans and decide to join the masses of adventurers, mercenaries, bandits and pilgrims heading north to the World Wound ... which faction are you most likely to join?

The Crusaders, the Grey Knights or the Bandits?

If you had to offer up a crew member as part of a prisoner exchange while on the seas and you had a pestilence blooded sorcerer as part of your crew would you send him over to be a prisoner on the opposing ship?

Have you ever been deep into the Mwangi Expanse? If yes, what happened? If no, why not?

How do you feel about being in a comic book?

Hi, Merisiel.

Do you like music?

Are there any bards (other than Lem) that you'll go out of your way to see when they're performing nearby?

Nope. Ninja are too worried about being ninja, and it gets in their way.

Pssh. That's HARDLY a god.

Whoever pays the best.

Myself. Then I'd effect a bad-ass escape that would result in the enemy's ship's best treasure coming back to my ship with me.

Not DEEP into it, no. It's kinda hot and humid and bug-filled. Gross. Also those monkeys are loud and annoying.

Pretty honored! It took me a bit to get used to how we all look in there, but in the end... it's great!

I do like music. And yeah... I often head down to Vyre or Kintargo to watch Shensen perform. Ameiko's pretty good too!

Which iconic is the best cook? And what do they cook best?

Lem's chicken is VERY good.

And I'm not revealing the secret.

Is the secret that many different things taste like chicken, and there's no Chicken in Lem's famous Chicken?

or is it something boring like 17 secret herbs and spices?

You wouldn't happen to have a military rank you've never revealed, do you Lem?

Merisiel, ever come across anything military-ish in Lem's gear? I know you tend not to steal from the people you're working with, but I'm sure you've at least taken a peek or two out of curiosity.

I keep trying to get him to wear the half-sized Eagle Knight soldier costume, but he keeps finding excuses not to. I think he'd look ADORABLE in the blue longcoat!

As a follower of Calistria whats your opinion on this argument that seems to be raging on...

Have you ever thought about working with a Undead lord cleric? I think you and I could get along very well...I mean think of all the potential flanking partners...

I lost the taste for following orders when I was a young halfling; if I can't stand those silly military types shouting things at me, why should I dress like one?

(Also, I don't have the legs to pull off those trousers.)

Spoiler:
Obviously, if dressing up might help pull a fast one on some soldier types I'd be up for it. Just don't tell Merisiel, she might get ideas... And the last time that happened Harsk ended up covered in honey from the bees in a Calistrian temple, and Seelah had to wash his beard for him.

Dear Lem,

What other instruments have you tried out before you stuck with the flute?

Can you play any other wind instruments?

Out of the other iconics, who is the 2nd best at telling jokes?

Know any jokes about Wizards/Spell casters?

None. The family where I grew up already had a spinet-player, and the drum was too loud to use at dinners. I'm decent with the jaw harp, though.

Yes. The tuba is fun, but not something you bring along on adventuring. (Unless I can convince Amiri to carry it for me.)

Merisiel. Or maybe Ezren, he's never told any, so he might be amazing!

Yes.

But please, this is meant to be about asking Merisiel qestions, so stick to that now folks.

Lem, Has Amiri ever killed anything with your tuba?

Also, since this is Merisiel's thread, Merisiel? what is the strangest way you've ever killed something?

I'm sorry for linking to TV Tropes, but are any of the other Iconics Deadpan Snarkers?

Have any of them suffered from bouts of Cuteness Proximity or it's bigger brother?

To Her Divine Graciousness, the Lady Merisiel Sillvari,

My lady, I have been searching high and low for the services of an esteemed adventurer and treasure-hunter, and your name continues to afford the highest respect (and, in certain circles, quailing terror) across all the lands I have travelled.

Please indicate to me whether you would be in a position to tender your gentle services in a grave task against perilous odds. I am in a position to pay a significant commission to you, and hold no interest in any spoils of war which may be forthcoming as a result of this endeavour. All I would ask is the opportunity to travel beside you (and any companions you should so desire) for a short time at the outset of your journey.

Kindly indicate by return, if you would be so kind:

a) The services of those whom you would wish to accompany you
b) The value of the commission you would expect (you may safely assume to be facing dragons, orcs, and giants, perhaps in abundance)
c) The likelihood of you or any of your companions deciding to enact stabby assault upon a most generous and kind drow benefactor
d) When your services would be available

Yours in awe and silent worship, may Iomedae's sword protect thee and thine,

Chemlak Gia'theranas.

My opinion? There's not ENOUGH promiscuous elves. We need more!

As for anything undead-related... gross. No thanks. Smells bad, looks gross, sounds nasty, bleh. Yuck.

HEY!

Get your own thread, Lem!

Probably that one time I used a club. It felt... wrong.

I don't have the patience to read that website, so I'll answer randomly:

Yes
No

Yay! My name!

Wait.

This question got long.

And what's this about Iomedae? She's stuffy.

Wait.

What?

Are you asking me to stab something? Just ask me to stab something!

Please will you stab something?

To The Flower of Elvenkind, the Lady Merisiel Sillvari,

My apologies for the length of my prior missive. I find that when I write I get somewhat overindulgent with my words. The same is not true when I speak. I shall strive for brevity in future.

Since you bravely seek justice upon those who have done wrong by you and others, I believe that Iomedae looks upon you fondly, even though your methods may not be in keeping with her teachings. (Though I personally have no particular issue with stabbing for a good cause.)

To answer your most pertinent question, yes. In fact, a great many things. Firstly, an ancient red Wyrm who has caused me and mine much strife and anguish, secondly a demon lord who, if you will excuse the pun, is hell-bent on the domination of our fair world, and lastly a clan of frost giants who have taken up residence near my home. And the minions of all of the above.

Where would you like to start?

Your ever-faithful (but still drow, sorry) servant,

Chemlak Gia'theranas.

Whats wrong with the hat?

Gah! *flops about, covered in cats and shed fluff* Talk about your detours! Note to self, the Demi-Plane of Kittens is fun and all, but only after the first few hours.

Not two months.

Would you ever use one of those new-fangled guns?

How about setting up a +1 Nonlethal Canon on the other side of the Wizard Iconic's door? Set it up, knock on his door, and wait....

Sorry. That other one asked me to. Plus, drow kinda creep me out. Plus, demons aren't from hell. Plus, I try to stay out of the attention of gods of justice since they and their flock are always seeming to misunderstand my methods.

Nope.

Guns are loud, smelly, and the moving parts look like they're designed to give delicate parts blood blisters.

Pass.

Ah, thank you, that will do nicely.

Oh, to be less misunderstood. I am just a drow, driven from his homeland by a conscience that his society could not bear, a lonely, tortured soul striving to live my life by the dictates of my moral code, wielding my scim...

No, that's the other guy.

It's so easy to get confused. Especially after a stabbing.

I hear someone asking for a cleric, so what--

Oh, Meri....you've stabbed someone again, haven't you?

Yes, yes, I can see he's a drow. A wordy one? Ah.

So, Chemlak is it? Yes, well, in the future, try and be short and direct with Merisiel, here. You confused her with all that prose, and when she gets confused, someone gets stabbed. It happens.

(sigh) Are we all done here? I have things to do.

OK, then. Farewell.
