Some of my best friends are half elves. And one of them used to be a drow.
Used to be? as in this is now a late friend, or did something odder happen?
It was odder.
Presumably this did not involve transformation into a cow for then it would have been something udder.

Nope. I hear you can read about it in that NPC Guide book what came out in your stores a few years ago though.

So, ever met a robot? If so, how'd that go?

Albatoonoe wrote:

Ummm... no?

what's a robot?

It's like a clockwork man, except it runs on lightning.

Huh.

Sounds made up.

Ever been to Numeria?

Liberty's Edge

Where do you want to go next in your travels and why?

Kyra. Duh.

Why do you think Kyra is the better exemplar of good?

Have you ever stolen something and realised later you've left somebody in a very bad way?

Our Rogue is about ready to off himself:
A while back, without my knowing, our Rogue, in his younger, nastier days, stole a coin-pouch off a young mother in a small town. We've come back some years later, we're walking past her place and the Rogue goes white as we over-hear two nasty old biddies commenting on how the woman has had to turn to prostitution after somebody stole the money she'd scrimped and saved for weeks, and prevented her from paying off the final part of a debt to the Merchant who owned her house.

Turns out she had no family in the town, and as soon as she couldn't pay the debt, the Merchant in question used her position, wealth and connections to socially isolate the woman out of some petty revenge that we are still trying to wrap our heads around.

Yeah, needless to say paying off her debts now will mean nothing, and she's much happier now, even though the woman and her children don't know the Rogue is the reason for her suffering in the first place. We've paid off her debts and helped her and her three children move to another town, but the Rogue is just about ready to cut his own wrists. She's been trapped in that position for five years because of him, and the Rogue's just in the absolute pits with guilt over what he's done.

Numeria. Because folks keep talking about it and it's got me curious.

Kyra. Duh.
Why do you think Kyra is the better exemplar of good?

Because she's better than Seelah.

But also because Seelah keeps getting hung up on what the law says and all that. Sometimes, being good means you have to break some rules.

Nope! Never!

Creepy and disturbing and weird and icky.

How do you properly pronounce your name?

How would you react to this?

With more vomit than you've likely ever seen.

Why thank you! You are one of my favorites. Thanks again.

Well, if you go to Numeria, you'll meet robots. They are a nasty bunch. Be careful.

What's the nastiest/strongest fiend you've met?

Okay.

And: Balor (see Demons Revisited!).

Ever been framed for a crime you didn't commit?

And some rogues work in partnership e.g. Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser - ever worked in partnership with another rogue even for a short while? And who?

Dark Archive

The other day I had a dream about bats being able to mind control people into killing machines, do you think this can be true?

Scarab Sages

I have a feeling you will soon know...

Darling Merisiel, what is your opinion of the Monk Sajan?

Yes. Grrrr.

Yes. Grrrr.

I suppose it's possible you could indeed have a horrible dream like that. I suppose.

The Countess wrote:

He's kinda quiet and, frankly, kinda boring. He kicks ass real good though, so he's handy to have around. Just not very chatty.

Who are the top 10 chattiest people you know?

In no particular order:

Lem, Valeros, Kyra, Lini, Ezren (unfortunately), Ameiko, Shensen, Whitelips, Billiver, and pretty much any randomly encountered goblin.

Huh, I always figured Lini for the quiet type.

Orthos wrote:

Lini kinda seems like she is hyperactive, if you ask me, dunno what is Merisiel opinion on the subject.

Lini has a lot of energy. A LOT of it.

Three things regarding Numeria

Firstly - Don't trust small helpful floating constructs. It just never leads to anything good.

Secondly - Don't press the big red button until you're absolutely sure that you've found all the good stuff and never, ever want to come back. Then get at least twenty miles away as soon as possible.

Third - If you find something that looks like a shiny crossbow stock with lots of rays and fins and doodads and a handle make sure it's not pointing at anything you care about before you make your use magic device check.

He's lying, he's lying, nope nope nope. Ah, disregard this part, yeah, lying or at least a little misguided. Just because you've had one bad experience mate doesn't mean the whole lot is off, you know?

Merisiel, what is the name of Lini's big kitty cat?

The Countess wrote:

Drogami or something like that. Not sure exactly how it's spelled. I prefer to call him "Snowy."

A gnome that doesn't fit that description is generally one in a really bad and depressing way.

Never seen one. They're like jackalopes. Made up things from your side of the rulebook reality barrier that I don't have to deal with! Whew!

At least you live in a book, She-Hulk always complained about the staples in the middle of comics.

You know looking at the picture....does not Kyra look jealous?

Hmmmm.Ah,question, that pale lad...Seltyei.Apparently I've heard the paladin Seelah intends to reform him as sort project.Know anything of it?

Also, have you ever met of a gunslinger named Lirianne and what do you think of her?

Also,I do find Sajan quite fetching. Despite the fact he is utterly devoid of hair.Pass that along, would you? I'm quite interested in what his reply would be.

I do know of Seelah's plans. I wish her luck!

Lirianne is cool! She's got a WICKED sense of dry, laid back humor that most folks don't even get.

Will do! He'd probably give the old stone-faced long-stare expression. That's what he does to me when I compliment him on his fetching hairless bod.

Why thank you.Say hello to Harsk for me.

My sister would love to a fellow gunslinger to hang out with besides my father. And that witch, the only quite fond of fire.

She recently told me in a letter of how she more or less set a cannibalistic shaman and her pet monkey and the hut they were in on fire. With gunpowder and a fireball bead. Apparently the explosion catapulted her straight into the path of the tribe of cannibal's chieftain, somehow unscathed. Then she somehow managed to evade him and get back to her companions. Then she proceeded to turn a necromancer into two legged torch after he sicced what I believe she called walking bones.

Of course, this was months ago when she wound up shipwrecked on a merchant ship.I miss her but at least she's enjoying herself and ridding the world of unsavory types.Though I am still going to throttle her once she returns, she did runaway from home...

Ah! Who exactly is that odd gnome with the bone white hair and the malformed rooster? I've always found gnomes quite...odd but he's quite unusual.Any thoughts on him ?

And of course,I find that you have been wonderful company and enjoyable conversationalist.I only hope the other iconics are so!
